Yep with the second half of the seasons results... shows if your not switched on you will lose a game .... I still believe one of the top 3 will win the flag but in saying that... it's finals and anything can happen.... I just hope all 5 finals teams are the players that played most of the season it destroys a good close season and the sides that deserve to play it out for the flag !

I haven't posted in here for a while (my username proves that). However, I have to say I think that we (Brentwood) will make the finals given that we are 6 points clear of 6th place. We should win this weekend, and so should Ellenbrook.

That means that we have to lose our last two and Ellenbrook beat Swan Valley for them to get up over us (give they have a bye/win last round).

I don't think they will beat Swan Valley who just knocked off the top team. If they do we have to beat either of the top 2.

Oh and just so everyone is clear, it wasn't actually a draw against Jandakot earlier this year. It was because the power went out and there were no lights for a night game. Goes down as a draw unfortunately (which could cost us), but I am confident of beating them this week.

Not to be a stickler, but you have all quite clearly written us off for the rest of the season. Is that because sometimes we play with 16, don't have a coach, turn up catastrophically hungover and don't train? If so, write us off at your peril.

Looking at ringing in the changes this week with the media pressure.

E2BandF, great to see you active again. It would appear the last time you logged in was also about the same time you ran out in a fixture for us. Looking forward to welcoming you back this week. You may even get the nod as captain.

Anyway, Gosnells are clearly the team to beat. They have plays and tactics. They're like rock in scissors, paper, rock. Good ol' rock. Nothing beats that.

No one is writing Brentwood off and they should just get over the line with a win against jandakot but.... lose and you may be in trouble with last 2 games against two top placed teams .... with ellenbrook with the forfeit and Osi Park and a chance against swan valley tho if valley lose the last two rds they may miss.... going to be a very tight finish and an interesting 3 weeks ahead of us

What a great and competitive season we've had so far - 6 out of 10 teams still at least mathematical possibilities of making finals with only 3 weeks to go.

Can’t kick, cant hand ball, please let it be known that these external opinions have no bearing internally, the club has made arrangements for the end of year windup, ensuring it wouldn’t interfere with the E3 grand final if the boys were to get there. Ensure the win this week and then the spoils will come!

Ok with finals only three weeks away and the competition being as close as it is wins for all clubs are massively important so here's my thoughts on the up coming rd..... Ellenbrook v Osbourne Park ...the Eels will be way to strong at home for the struggling park boys who give it their all but just lack those few classy players and a game the Eels must win if they are to play finals.... Eels by 8 goals plus.

Coolbinia v Bassendean... in what is a for gone conclusion Il tip Coolbinia by 89 points.... and the week off will give them a chance to regroup after last week's shock loss.

Noranda v Piarra Waters.. after last week's loss to 7th placed jandakot I think the Hawks will come out fired up at home and be to strong for the first year side in Piarra Waters who have a lot less to play for now being out of finals contention... Noranda by 10 goals plus.

Gosnells v Swan Valley in a game that I think will be close with the valley who are on the rise and knocked off top placed coolies last weekend will be full of confidence ... but gosnells who I think could just steal top spot and who are very strong at home and the in form team will get I over the line by 6 goals.

Brentwood v Jandakot... what is the game of the round and could decide the top 5.....if jandakot field the same side as last week.. which I very much doubt... I think they will take it up to Brentwood and get over the line at the Kennal ... but if they don't then I think Brentwood will be to strong for jandakot... so all depends on what team jandakot fields... but il tip the Bulldogs at home in a close one by 3 goals who have more to play for with a win just about sealing up a finals birth for them.

Osborne Park have some really good talls, but lack in the 'in and under' types. Expect Ellenbrook to win, but that Osborne Park will play the game right out and go down still fighting.

A break at this time of year should help any Coolbina West Perth players with niggling injuries and help them consolidate top place on the ladder.

Piara Waters have had a pretty good first year with their thirds team, but expect Noranda to win. Having lost considerable percentage, Noranda need some really big wins to get back into 2nd place. The extra space at Lightning Park will not suit Piara Waters.

Last time: Swan Valley 8.8 (55) Gosnells 5.8 (38)
Over the years, games between the teams have generally been close, though usually in Gosnells' favour. Both teams are in good form and the Valley have picked up players of late. I expect another close game this time around, but think Gosnells will get up.

Last time: Game abandoned due to lighting failure
Brentwood and Jandakot is an interesting one. I'm picking an improving Jandakot in a close one that is an 'absolutely must win' them. Both teams have a lot to lose.

The forecast is for a dry afternoon, with a few showers, mostly in the morning and evening. After the last few Saturdays, I'm sure we are all looking forward to a much nicer day this time around.
