Anyone know what happened at coolbinia... very surprised to see they lost at home and only kicked 1 goal all day ?

They arrived late for the game, only had 20 players, were not switched on at all and Gosnells hunted in packs.

Really strong in defence, great target at full forward, in the absence of our ruckman (out for the season) a young ruckman did really well, strong midfield and pressure all over the ground.

As the season has gone on, the team has gelled better and better.

And no, we did not stack our team - never have, never will.

I've seen first hand what gosnells can do....when they are switched on and if your not they will destroy you.... so well done on a great win away .... looks like it's going to be a tight second half of the season

My condolences go out to the player from Brentwood who's father passed away causing the club to forfeit their game against Noranda this week which would have been a tough decision for the club when they are sitting 5th with a couple teams snapping at their heals... but goes to show some things are more important than footy and I wish them all the best luck for the remaining games and hopefully they can finish in the top 5 and play finals... good luck lads... best regards !

Godzilla, Thanks for that explanation as to why they did't field a team. We were a bit confused as to why they forfeited. Condolences to all affected at the club.

Been a bit quiet on here of late so it of conversation starter with 2 big games this weekend with 1st vs 2nd in Noranda and Coolbinia who have both been in 1st and 2nd all season and 3rd vs 4th in Gosnells and Ellenbrook with Gosnells making a late charge into the top 4 .... what's everyone's thoughts on the results !

After the way Coolbina West Perth played against us a couple of weeks ago, very surprised they knocked off Noranda.

We have played Ellenbrook a number of times over the past few seasons. Nearly every game has been really close, including a draw in round 1 last year.

As this year has gone on, our team has gelled better and better as the weeks have gone by. Some younger players returning to football after not playing since Colts (and, in one case, U/16) has helped, as has great numbers and good turnouts at training.

Our results have got the Reserves coach salivating.

Noranda at Lightning Park next round should be a good indication of exactly where we are this season.

I'd say you are the in form team of the competition at this stage of the season and would have to go in as clear favourites against Noranda Birdman
