Noranda vs Gosnells .... the better team definitely won on the night and quiet easily i must say its just unfortunate .... that there was only one thirds team out on the ground... but until the league go back to player id cards and all 22 players are checked before bounce down certain clubs are always gonna feild league and reserves players when they host 5.00 games but .... well done gosnells well deserved win and good luck for the rest of the season lads !

As the Gosnells Thirds Team Manager, I can and will ABSOLUTELY GUARANTEE that Gosnells Thirds DID NOT PLAY EVEN ONE League, Reserves or Colts player against Noranda last night.

Nor did ANY player participate under an assumed name.

Our Thirds team has existed for 4 years. I have been Team Manager of this team for the 4 years, the Coach has coached this team for the 4 years. We have NEVER played an ineligible player - nor will we - EVER!!!

We had 4 players come in - one from injury (who played his first game after an injury in the pre-season) and 3 players who had missed selection previously.

We originally named 29 players, one withdrew pre-game and 7 were omitted.

I find the above 'suggestions' HIGHLY OFFENSIVE and will make sure that ALL our players are made aware of them.

By the way, I STRONGLY support the re-introduction of ID cards for players - and the confirmation of players ID by the field umpires.

Like 'Godzilla', I believe shonkies have been pulled in the past.

Well if im wrong in my opinion i sincerely will apolgise ...but the team i watched were well drilled and extremely fit and looking at your last 3 precious games that is a massive turn around so well done and you should be pushing alot of those players into your reserves side cause i saw alot of players that were well to good to be playing in your thirds side

Have Basso pulled their thirds or just a forfeit yesterday?

Godzila dont throw accusations around haha, there were absolutely no league players in that team. At the best reserves level players. Theyre more in the E3 due to work commitments or failure to attend training.

Just my opinion and i may be wrong so if you say thats the side that you feild in thirds every week... il take your word on it... in saying that if thats the case then i expect gosnells to finish in the top two and to be serious flag contender's .... cause what i saw was a very well drilled running side with very good skills all over the ground.... best of luck on the rest of your season lads !

If you were chasing them Godzilla over course they would come across as a quality running side I thought you'd have joined the ranks of the sensible by now and hung up the boots already mate???

I noticed that it is their second forfeit in a row. Hopefully they can get some numbers back.
