Yeah mate .... Basso have pulled their 3rds side so unfortunately back to having the bye

Always sad to see a team drop out of the competition, though Gosnells Thirds were big beneficiaries when Canning South Perth dropped out last year, picking a number of good players (and good clubmen).

I don't like having byes either, but we just have to live with them.

I think it's time that we all stopped thinking it and it was just said....The Brentwood Bulldogs are rising. Coming off a couple of hard fought wins and thrashing Bassendean 90-1 on the weekend has catapulted us to top 4 fancies.

Pure evil

Big selection night for us tonight. With the smell of finals in the air we're looking to bring some players down from the Reserves and League to boost our chances going in to the second half of the season.

Obviously I won't be there for the announcement as I don't train, but I'm sure I'll get a game.

Instead of training I'm going to shower with a football tomorrow morning to get accustom to the likely inclement weather. That's as good a warm up as any.

Big Dave's 200th tomorrow. Can't wait.

It was great to celebrate big Daveo's 200th on Saturday with a hard fought draw against the boys from Jandacot. What a game, it was dark and stormy, some places on the field could easily have been used as trench scenes in a World War One epic, but I'm glad to report there were no injuries on either side. It was great to see a game in such tough conditions played in such good spirits.

Now I'm no coach, but if it were up to me I'd say CantKickCantHandball would have been close to beat on ground, you just can't teach that wet weather football ability. No wonder he's first picked every week.

I just hope this translates in to a full four quarter effort this week. I always find time to examine my life when I am taken off and am the only one on the bench due to our usual 19 man side and lack of coach. It's a lonely 5-7 minutes sitting with the drink bottles.

Why are there still no scores up for the Jandakot/Brentwood Booragoon game on the WAAFL website?

The Ladder shows neither team scored anything and have both been credited with a nil-all draw.
