I wouldn't be betting against them to make it 4 in a row next year. The WA teams must lobby the AFL to fixture at least 3 games at the MCG during the season as part of the reaon for West Coasts shoddy goal kicking early in the game was without doubt their unfamiliarity with the vagaries of the ground.

...and the Eags inacurracy in the weeks before match against North was because........?????

You can say what you like but the facts are that Hawthorn played 10 games at the MCG this season and West Coast played 1. This is not the reason Hawthorn won but they would have been far more comfortable and familiar with the surroundings and the way the breezes go etc. Every team should be able to play at least 3 times a year at the ground where the Grand final is played, I wouldnt think that would be too difficult.

Didnt bother sydney 4 years ago. Its the AFL, dems the breaks. Professional footballer making basic mistakes aint the grounds "fault". Maybe if the Eags played at the MCG more then they may have lost more games, and not got 2 home finals. Swings and merrygorounds

At least the Swans get to play at the MCG for Hawks home games, guess where the two WA sides have to play? in farkin Tassie where they struggle to get two supporters the AFL is a joke.

Listening to PR after the game, I was disappointed with some of the Eagle's fans comments. Some people have forgotten that 2 or 3 games into the season, we were written off after losing Mac and Brown. While it was disappointing to lose, we had a lot of fun through the year - damn site more than the last few. Losing to the best side the AFL has seen is no shame. Well that's 1991 over, let's get into 1992!!!

That was truly an abysmal performance by the Wiggles with only Sheppard & McGovern performing anywhere up to the level required.
Seems they can only win premierships when they're not aligned!! :)

Too true Unk.....these guys are professional footballers end of.......Hawthorn are just a bloody good team......bit harsh on Kennedy as well.....the delivery to him was non existent.....yeah not a good day for the fella but TBH he wasnt alone......really cant think of one WCE player who could walk away from that game with their head held high.....lots of soft possessions, turnovers, brain fades and missed opportunities......

Yep 58, WCE will be hoping it will be a repeat of the Hawks 1991 win.....older team too good for the younger team......lesson learnt in the 1991 loss and happier days with two flags over 3 years....saying that it wouldnt surprise in the slightest if folk see two different teams in the GF next year.....surely the Hawks cant go 4 in a row?

I have no doubt that with their personnel, 4 is not out of the question. Depends on the inside of their heads.
