Good to see Clouseau all over it as always ..firstly Morphett finished up at the ABC last year during the nation wide culling and was commentating the WC/Freo games from the East on 6PR with Brad Hardie this year, secondly Whately as S42 has pointed out many a time has little to no interest in anything from WA whilst Lane (despite being born in Tasmania) has publicly questioned why anyone outside the old VFL- current AFL should be inducted into the AUSTRALIAN FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME believing the WAFL & SANFL were far inferior competitions despite never having seen those competitions in their prime of the 70's & early 80's!
Those 3 above make no mistake are just as bad as the biased WA media types just in an Eastern blinkered reverse!

You can say what you like but the facts are that Hawthorn played 10 games at the MCG this season and West Coast played 1. This is not the reason Hawthorn won but they would have been far more comfortable and familiar with the surroundings and the way the breezes go etc. Every team should be able to play at least 3 times a year at the ground where the Grand final is played, I wouldnt think that would be too difficult.

Didnt bother sydney 4 years ago. Its the AFL, dems the breaks. Professional footballer making basic mistakes aint the grounds "fault". Maybe if the Eags played at the MCG more then they may have lost more games, and not got 2 home finals. Swings and merrygorounds

The wce book of excuses is a joke, the fact is the eagles were smashed on the day, they just could not match the proffesionalism and class of the hawks, they failed to apply any pressure at all , the tackle count was terrible and the skill errors an embarrasment, they were shown up simple as that, I tipped a WCE v Hawks GF with a easy win to the hawks weeks ago, it was pretty obvious, apart from the aberation of the hawks losing the first final the entire series was pretty predicatble, The WCE had no exuses at all they had set them selves up with nearly a month at subi weeks break and just about everything else you need, the hwaks on the other had everything going against them travelled to perth twice, a prelim at subi no break , it was a massive effort by them but that is how they roll, anyway given that it was a fair effort to make the GF, had a pretty good draw will be a lot tougher next year,

The swans have been the only team to knock off the hawks in 4 years, but even they got smashed last year, despite being cherry ripe a much harder and experienced unit , given that it was no surprise the hawks took an inexperienced , finals soft side like WCE in their first appearance in years.
