Good start in the one day competition, lads.

Philippe carrying on his good Marsh Cup form from last season with a well made 90.....whilst young Connolly also carrying on his merry way from last season BBL GF heroics, with a quick fire 40 odd.

WAs depth will be tested this season with injuries to players and international duties impacting on the squad. Great to see Morris on the park on Sunday, bowling fast and taking wickets, hopefully Jhye Richardson is not too far away either.

today WA were at a delicate place but Turner & Whiteman put up 119 in 10 overs - then Hobson has blitzed 60 odd in 28 balls

Just wondering why Turner would not have been considered for the ODI world cup?  He has been a pretty consistent performer in the white ball game for a few years now and his form has been so good that he has forced his way back into the sheffield shield squad which won the final last year

Congrats to young fast bowler Haskett on his selection for WA v Victoria today. Big ask for that WA bowling attack v Vic though.....fair few WA fast boys out injured.....Richardson, Paris, Kelly, Behrendorf and Morris....

Good to see Murray Goodwin's boy back in the starting 11.....pity about Connolly breaking his toe though....touch wood Teague Wyllie can score a few too.

Great comeback by the bowling attack after a shaky start. Hardie started the ball rolling and the other bowlers all contributed. Promising start by Liam Haskett, looks like he has genuine pace and is a real prospect.
We will find out how good Victorias 250 is by close of play tonight, looked like there was a bit of life in the pitch and WA may find Boland, Murphy and Sutherland a bit of a handful. We shall see.
Despite state loyalties I was so glad to see Pukovski out there yesterday and batting with confidence. Hopefully he can kick on from here.
