WA will have to bowl well tomorrow - SA rolled them fairly easily looking at that score card

Very average day for WA yesterday. Good opportunity to see if WA are up to the challenge of rolling SA for sub 200 and then setting a 350 + target on day 3 / 4 for SA.

Paris took 4 cheap ones this morning to reduce SA to 4 -49 before a recovery took the Croweaters to 4 - 90 at lunch. Match is delicately poised so to speak.
Meanwhile some collapses in other games. Tassie currently 3-8 vs Queensland and NSW 8-59 v Victoria!

Very even affair now but WA have a good chance of getting an outright if they can bat smart

Terrific to see SA finally getting themselves off the mat as a cricket basket case and being competitive. Jason Gillespie finally getting reward.

Great match. Evenly poised. Yep, outright points in play for both teams. Just the type of contest you want.

Bancroft another ton, Hardie made 99, Whiteman 51 on the way to 8 for 377 at stumps on the 3rd day, lead of 354. I assume they'll let the last 2 wicket go bash and crash for some fast runs in the first session to put SA out of the game, then go all out attack.

Great to see the WA boys put their paint brushes to one side and pile on a 360 + run feast in a day. Horses for courses in terms of match strategies, and not every innings has to have that bash crash approach to please the casual fans.

SA 3/50 odd at lunch, WA needs to be patient and keep wriggling out the SA batting line up. Paris 2 away from a match 10 for. Another good bowler culled by injury over the years....one of a few who should be pushing the current big baggy blue 3 for test honors.....I guess injury can impact a bowlers development and a coaching teams future succession plans.

Another fantastic win by the WA boys. Bowled out on the first day for 240, they dominated the last 3 days to set up an outright victory.
Apart from the stand out performances of Bancroft and Paris, Liam Haskett again showed why he is such a good prospect and Corey Roccocholi could be on the radar of the Aussie selectors if he continues to perform in the way that he has so far this season. Aaron Hardie was unlucky to miss a century and also bowled well
Amazing also that Tasmania chased down 430 on the last day of their game against Queensland.

Yes, great result for WA, especially losing Gannon so early on day 4. I was surprised that Hardie didn't get a look in for the T20 games in India but good for WA that he didn't. I also agree, Roland should be on the radar of the aussie selectors, bowls tight lines and has good variations.

The shield ladder looks very interesting; NSW and Vic look almost cooked already.

Good news this morning is that Jhye Richardson is targeting the shield game v SA at the WACA in a couple of weeks for a comeback. Hopefully it will be a bit more bowler friendly than the road they produced for the Tassie game. Looks like Gannon will be out for a while with a quad strain, so possibly Stobo back for the next game in Sydney or maybe Morris will be allowed to have a run?
