Hey Dwert. I admire your calm demeanour. It would be easy to get riled up on something so close to your heart. Back to the subject, I think the real issue is making every dollar spent on indigenous people work as hard as possible.

By my calculation, based on 3% of total population and $37b additional spend, each First Nations person gets around $50k per year allocated to them through various grants, schemes, funds etc. The problem is with trickle down economics, the person in the remote town gets very little due to admin, overheads, salaries and so on.

We, as a society and as taxpayers, need to be more efficient in the way these $ are spent to make sure maximum benefit goes to the people who need it most.

That is far more important imo than a Voice. A root and branch forensic audit to reduce waste, duplication and diversion of funds elsewhere should be the first order of the day both federally and in the states.

I'd better keep my responses calm BC, DD might have other things in mind otherwise. 

I agree with you in regards to an Audit of the spend and where and how much money is actually being spent on addressing the issue at both Commonwealth and State levels. If it was that simple I am sure there has been attempts to do this previously. Who knows it might be one of the first request of the Voice structure if it gets up....

I live in a very nice villa in Midland and I see and experienced the atrocious behaviour of Aboriginal people every day in my area both kids and so called adults. It’s such a shame because Midland, apart from that is a very nice suburb, actually like a small city with everything you need. But I have witnessed and experienced disgusting behaviour. And yes I am a moderator here what is your point? Got something to complain about?
