Heard the newsreader on 6IX/6PR yesterday referring to Fremantle Dockers as Walyalup talking about Lachie Shultz request to be traded. Don't they realise the season is over and it's not indigenous round?

Or are they trying to make a political statement for the Yes vote? That really turned me off. How dare you ignorant pricks. On my way to vote NO.

Bit harsh coming from a Boorloo Demons supporter DD

Black fellas can call it what they like, but to me its Fremantle - I grew up there lived in Coolbellup  1960s 70s and plenty of Aboriginals around, not once did I ever here them call it that,,,,Coobellup is a blackfella name - Ive no problem with that, maybe we should call it its english Name - Place of Cool Waters.,..:)

Learn how to quote Dwert FFS. Just persist by hitting the red return arrow on the bottom right until the cursor appears outside the quoted post.

I take it you refer at all times South Walyalup and not South Fremantle dwert? 😂
Get on your bike.

the term wallyup is about 4 years old, given the blackfellas never had written language, alphabet or grammatical phonetics., its clearly a modern invented interpretation using culturally appropriated language ( English and Latin) and written in letters that never existed in 1000BC or so.

I am also finding some media outlets sus behaviour in favouring one side which is highly disappointing. It seems this whole voice thingy is riddled with mega amounts of lies, lack of truthful info and confusion. All this probably by design. An ex work colleague visited one of the early voting centres to cast a vote. When asked why they voted yes, the answer was "I don't know."
Obviously the current govt trying to get this over the line and keeping everyone in the dark.

Baz, the West yesterday outlined what a clusterfuck Elbows has created with his totally incompetent handling of this issue. The more he's pushed the "Trust me" idea the more the average Australian Joe and Joanne have moved to the No side.

Not having 2 separate questions means it was destined to fail. The vast majority of Australians would have supported the simple idea of A & TSI inclusion in the Constitution, but the Voice was always destined to fail given the governments refusal to give sufficient details of how it works. If the Voice is going to be the panacea of all things indigenous, then why not legislate it in an orderly manner and see if it actually works over a reasonable timeframe. Then it might have a chance of being embedded in the constitution. That being said, if it works, then there's no need to do so and any Government that wanted to dismantle a programme that has finally found a proper workable efficient and fair solution to this issue would do so at it's own peril.

Spot on SS and exactly what I've been saying all along. Legislate it, tinker with it until it works. Interesting Albonesia has come out and said if it doesn't get up on Saturday, then he won't legislate it. Clearly that's because if it fails, then at least 50% of the voting population don't want it and it'll cost him votes at the next election. It just shows he's not "all in" after all.

Baz you seem to be the expert on all things Aboriginal Culture.

I have been a Noongar all my 59 years and it always has been Walyalup. Pull your head in …

If the polling is to be believed, the no answer is currently sitting between 53 and 62 %. Whereas the yes being between 38 to 47 percent. That would leave 5 to 10 % undecided.
