Interesting to hear the SA state government is proceeding with the voice to parliament thingy there.  Even though the majority of the state said no to a federal model! Not sure how a state based one in South Australia would work?

What a complete train wreck...

Smashed coast to coast, failed in every state and the NT, the fact that the only place it got up is Canberra tells you all you need to know about how out of touch this whole idea was.

$400 Million that could of gone towards health and education blown on a complete dud, Disgrace Albo should resign.

No Mandate for that anymore - second lowest support in the nation,, only 3/10 SA people support it, sounds like political suicide to me.

Howard spent the equivalent of the same on the 1999 refo for the queen
no mention of resigning after that
move on and have a designated seat for the indigenous  similar to NZ

Why would you resign when you backed the winning side?

And it was a referendum he never wanted to have anyway - it was Keatings stupid idea, that he got stuck with,

Weird logic there mate.

Albo cooked this up backed it all the way and got flogged coast to coast - like Cameron in Brexit the loser needs to shove off.

Hearing on the news old Dutton is now walking away from his previous statement of holding another referendum.

Yep , good idea was well, absolutely nuts to hold these things over and over again, they should be once in a generation if at all.

Albo and the voice crew had their chance, and blew it big time,

zero constutional convention
rushed the whole thing in first year of goverment as some vanity project
zero modellling \zero legislation
couldnt sell a turkey despite huge resources
held it as a stand alone at huge cost when it would of been better at next election
got sucked in by the extremist lobby on the question and refused to compromise
refused to offer two questions
listened far to much to the inner city greens and canberra half wits who are not the real Australia
The vast majority of Labors own seats voted No
was way out of touch with regional and country people, some places voted 80% No.
getting huge backing from the two biggest corporate criminals in australia Qantas and the Commonwealth Bank went down a treat as well....

Mate the biggest trainwreck in Australia is the Liberal Party itself
only have to look as far as Michaelia Cash and Nick Goiran to feel very uncomfortable
federally you've got a flip flop leader who can't decide what he will do and has a large fault in the Western Sydney immigrant disaster , no-one can walk there without fear of getting shot
it's alright having continual shots at Labour but I'm afraid Liberal are just deplorable

Clearly you are having a bit of trouble taking hold of the idea of Albo and Labor taking responsibility for this train wreck :)

I guess he did do us some favours, he showed with the resounding repudiation of this concept that the over reach of the one way ear bashed "reconciliation" process has pretty much pissed of most of the country, three flags behind politicians and on buildings  and renaming of places, welcome to country to go to the dunny, sports leagues political stunts , it's time to give it all a rest and walk as one nation again.

no mate it's time for BOTH parties to take blame for all of this
we haven't had a decent choice since Don Chipp
and that is our problem
we have only two real parties the rest are just tic tacs
Labour just shoot their feet and Liberal are run by the church
and we know the rest don't we?
