Has he defined what a 'representation' is? This definition should be clearly stated in the yes pamplet. Is it a 'war dance demonstration' or just an activist writing to the PM and making a suggestion on policy?

Apparently old Dutton has pledged to hold a second referendum if the upcoming voice poll fails and the Coalition win the next federal election. Interesting he didn't specify a time frame.

Actually Duttons being pretty smart with this. His ref will just be for recognition in the Constitution of First nations peoples without the Voice debacle attached. This allows those voters committed to that recognition but not so for the Voice part to vote No at Elbows Ref knowing the recognition can still be achieved without the Voice baggage.

Yes and No SS, personally I think it was an unnecessary wild card that he did not need to play, he would of been better to keep the focus on the current balls up rather than add more unwanted referendums into the mix.

For a start as this one should have been and most refs are held at the same time as a general election, that cuts the cost down to a fraction of what we are about to spend in October in a crazy expensive stand alone, there have only been two stand alone ref. in federal history all the rest are held at same time as an election. this one is costing an obscene $600 Million to run, plus another $100 million on Gov Adds to push the yes vote. 

Do agree though if this tanks we should put the entire idea on the back burner for a while rather than be rushing to polls again, far more important issues at hand

In the meantime, why doesn't the Minister for Aboriginal Affairs just form an advisory council and see how it goes, he could do that over night without all this carry on.

Nah mate on those figures yes loses easily

Territories do not count in the State by state vote.

You need a majority of States to get up, so you only need 3 states to vote no and its over, and you also need an Majority in the total vote and that looks miles off at this stage with the current Yes vote sitting at 38%.

Figures I have seen is Victoria is the only State with a Yes majority at mo.

I think the Yes vote will start to gain momentum now that the No votes messaging and negativity will be seen for what it is by fair minded Australians. A lot of falsehoods and scare tactics.
