SS - Yes I think ALBATROS and Linda GUCCI are in panic now about the level of support and will pump another $30 Million in addition to the $380 Mill to run the referendum of our money into flogging their No. 1 pet project, while the rest of the country struggles with financial costs and interest rates.

DAN the Man in Vic just blew $380 Million on his Games Dream...these Labor clowns know how to spend up big on pipedreams.

What about the NDIS.....FMD.

BC it's just laughable that a politician, of all people, asks us to just trust him, it will all be ok.
Would you by a car from this bloke?

If the same amount of money is not spent on both the Yes and No campaigns then there should be a royal commission.
It's sad that some big companies are being weak as piss and running scared of the minority woke warriors and funding the Yes campaign, I wonder if they referred to their shareholders before jumping on the PC wagon.

Good old Qld; the whole thing is very anti-British, and yet, the PM loves 'the Ashes' and the Aukus agreement with the admiralty, in his next breathe. Strange times.

Ark

This lemon was never going to get up in the states that have the most experience and exposure to these issues and know when the BS meter is off the scale, Qld and WA will not buy this turkey we have the most to lose, its not going well in SA and even Tasmania, Victoria no surprise is the only state it looks on track to win, a state with very few indigenous and no natural resources or mining industry to risk being screwed over, so a lot of dreamers with no real experience or knowledge of what they are voting for.

So I've now read the pamphlet with the cases for Yes and for No. The Yes case is all feel good airy fairy wokeness, no substance just how good it will be but not a thing about how it will be structured who will be on the Voice, how they will be voted in, how much it will cost and what will be done with the massive indigenous bureaucracy that already exists.
The No case asks all those vital questions, questions that Albo and his Yes lobby have been asked over and over again, with the only response being "trust me".
I have no issue at all with First Nations people being recognised in the Constitution, what I have a problem with is the Voice bureaucracy being enshrined in the constitution. Once it's there, it cant be removed. What happens if the Voice doesn't work? What happens if the current and expected infighting amongst the plethora of Indigenous groups, gets to a point where the whole thing is a complete clusterphark? Too late, it's there in the Constitution. If it's such a good idea and the resolution for all the ills that affect our indigenous population, why not create the Voice, set it up and see if it works? Why does it need the protection of the Constitution?

Summed it up perfectly SS

Yes to recognition of First Nations people in the Constitution.

The rest of the Voice proposal doesn’t need a referendum - the Govt already has the power to set up a First Nations consultancy group with the view to provide better outcomes for First Nations people. It doesn’t need to be locked into the Constitution and by leaving it out of the Constitution the Govt has far more flexibility to remodel the structure of the Voice isn’t providing the intended outcomes.

The intentions behind setting up ATSIC were correct but it failed to deliver enough benefit, in fact a number of KPI worsened, to justify its role. Will the Voice be any different?

Spot on SS. I've not seen one clear example of how this will help on the ground. The Yes side needs to explain how they intend increasing school attendance rates, lower indigenous incarceration levels, improve health outcomes and develop better housing facilities by having a Voice.

Until they can provide real and tangible examples of what they intend to do instead of what is in place at the moment with over 3,000 indigenous bodies and $37 billion in extra funding , then it's a No from me as I can't see the benefit.
