Good 3 is a better preparation.

Freeze the reason i named Colledge back and Tunbridge forward is we have no real key defenders at the club and on the West Coast Eagles web site the bio they give on the players says Colledge even though he can play forward can potentially play back.
Either way both players should be in the starting 18 as 2 of the Kpp's,one at each end of the ground you would think.

With the very few hilights I have see of Colledge he appears to be Hadyn Busher type of running forward.

I think I would prefer to see him up forward.

To me Tunbridge looked much better last year when he went forward.

With the talls we have recruited together with Billings I think we have the backline covered.

Billings plays above his height and is capable of a key position, although I am sure he would prefer not to take a tall.

David Johnston
Tyson Rowlings
Jarod Risol

There was also a Harrison Morgan, don't know whats happened to him. Still on the WAFL list.

I am sure they're working on it.

Brant Colledge is a fine prospect but sadly we wont see the best of him after this season.
WCE will want him playing league. He is only 18 and straight out of Colts so we shouldn't put too much pressure on him. It will be interesting to see if he takes to league footy the way Jaeger O'Meara did.
He seems versatile so should be useful forward or back.
Anyway, good luck to the lad.

Precisely but the key difference is he's a key position player who will get cannoned into by bigger bodies and physically tested each week. Jaeger could duck and weave his way out of trouble more often than not.

Don't expect miracles from this kid. I'd be amazed if WC "allow" him to be played anywhere but forward. He's very good but not good enough yet in my view to be expected to hold down a permanent forward position at league level.

The problem is still the backline in my view. The absence of a "gorilla" is noticeable. Someones going to have to pinch hit down there I suspect.

There is another kid coming out of the colts who could be a surprise packet. Daniel Arangio. He's big and he kicks goals. He might still be eligible for colts this season, not sure, but he can play there's no doubt about that.

Dazzler, if you look at the WAFL site - Players - Daniel Arangio is listed.

So I think he is on the senior list.

If so will be interested to watch his development.

This is one area I am expecting the Club to improve in.

They have appointed to assistant coaches who are proven development coaches.

I mean, of course, Trevor Williams & Micahel Broadbridge.

Thats my views also Dazzler.
Pinch hitting is something we are all to familiar with...dont like it.
One or two of these "recruits" or kids is going to have to stand tall for 20 rounds or we will struggle big time back there.

Sorry DF and without trying to sound negative i just dont hold the views or opinion you do of Williams and Broadbridge.

Then why would we employ them?

Sorry 30+, I would have thought their records stands the test.

Michael Broadbridge has held positions in football development at a higher level than WAFL over a fairly long periods of time.

Trevor Williams coached 2 (I think) Colts premiership teams.

Unless you have information to the contrary?

Sorry 30+ but you are very negative over a fair period of time at anything the Club does.

What would you suggest send the club to University to learn how to run a football club.

You may wish to provide some profound wisdom as to how the club should run.

Then again maybe you wouldn't.

Sorry for being cynical, but!!

With all the Peel players recruited (#4) the influence of Trevor Williams seems obvious. And yes he did win #2 Colts flags for Peel. From what I have seen at training so far he has been most influential in the skills drills.
Broadbridge does have the development history at at higher level. His role at Perth has been as part time coaching mentor and has seemed to take a back seat role. Now he is an assistant coach (forwards I believe) and has been very active at training.
Like the recruits time will tell what influence these guys, along with Adam Pickering, will have on overall performance of the team.
