Interesting lineup.

Bateman at half back?

Billings is playing so I would replace Bateman at half back with Billings and have him (Bateman) running through the midfield.

McInnes at CHF & Tunbridge pocket.

Is there not also Colledge to fit in or has he gone to EP immediately?

Bateman is 32 so not sure if he can run through the midfield in this "modern game". Forgot about College, would come off the bench i suppose and might replace Busher if he struggles to make the field.

I like McInness leading out from the full forward line, good overhead, steady kick for goal and a genuine target up front. Will be a handful if the forward line is open and he is given good service. Given Bushers problems I doubt he can play CHF the way he did in 2011. Tunbridge is a pretty good mover and nice left foot kick. If Billings is available and if these new talls can hold down key positions then Billings at half back for sure and the occasional pinch hit up forward. He did that well and won us a game late in 2011.

I hear that Bateman is pretty fit and leading the pack so I expect that he will spend some time going through the midfield.

Colledge - does he play for us this year? If so I doubt he will be on the bench he is pretty good from what I have been told. Will at least get a run.

IMHO Tunbridge is better off out of the key position. Maybe it could be McInnes and Colledge in the key positions.

Last I heard Busher back early rounds of the year. Hope is has some luck he is a great kid.

All in all plenty of options up forward.

For that matter I don't think the side looks that bad.

yep...I saw him pinching and hitting extremely well in a few games last year...maybe he needs to be cutting that part of his game out. ;)

Im not that sure of a complete lineup at this point but a few changes i would make to Johhno's line-up (below) are as follows.

I think you will find Risol is a key forward, for mine he will be vying for one of the kp forward spots with Tunbridge and McInnes will be the other key forward.

I would have Bateman,Reimers and Moody in the forward line with Donavon in one of the pockets.

I would take Jacobs and Florio out of the centreline and put Stack on one wing and if Irons has pace id put him on the other.I reckon we need genuine speed accross the centreline.

The 2 Key backs at this stage i have no idea maybe Brant Colledge at CHB,full back ???

The on-baller lineup is pretty right i suppose although Bevan may lineup in the centre with Sketcher going as a midfielder.

The rest will look at later.

This is Johhno's lineup
Backs: Hodge, Johnston, Kane

HB: Tedesco, Risol, Bateman

Centre: Florio, Sketcher, Jacobs

HF: Stack, Tunbridge, Reimers

FF: Donna, Busher*, McInness*

Ruck: Leyendekkers, Alli Smith, Bevan

Interchange from: Moody, Leeson, O'Sullivan, Eyres, Vidot, Holland, Murray, Houghton, Richardson, Irons, Stark

My own thoughts on a possible lineup in 2013 are not too different but there are a couple of things I would throw into the pot:

- We will need to fit Colledge in somewhere along with Ash Smith and possibly Sam Butler.
- Jacobs, IMO should play on HB line.
- Hodge will probably be given a tagging role most of the time.
- McInnes should play CHF when available. He may well get some games with WCE but we will probably have if for most of the season.
- I would like to see Moody in the middle of the ground rather than in the forward line.
- Bateman, even at 32 is one of the fittest on the track atm. I don't see a problem with him running thru the midfield given rotations and rests in the forward line.
- Billings is training hard and I would expect him to fit into the backline somewhere.
- It appears that Busher is a fair way off so I would expect he will miss a fair bit of footy. If he is totally fit and available he will be a huge bonus.

It is still all speculative at this stage and, as alluded to, we still need to see what some of the recruits have to offer.

Was going to have a look at one of my posts to see but I can't even edit anything for some reason. Could earlier this morning. Must be a time limit on it.
