Regional teams won’t work, not enough talent who are interested in training 3-4 days a week, look at Peel, blokes can stay local, train less and earn more.
Duffield hasn’t though this one through.

And then struggling teams like SD and EP lose Bunbury, while the teams that dominate year in year out keep their gold-plated zones. Let's hear from 42 on that one!

Really love TFAF optimism.....as Ted rightly says, why would WCE care in facilitating all that TFAF is demanding......Why would WCE help in the restructure of Perth junior zones?  Keep them weak WCE would be thinking  thus  allowing WCE B grade players  to get league footy instead of reserves footy......no point having a couple of  potential Luke Jackson's , Trent Rivers etc from ex EF junior zones, keeping all those WCE boys in the reserves......would of thought paying the upkeep of MRP facilities, PFC AFL listed boys match payments, a few freebie coaches and don't forget  all those 10K +  WCE fans turning up on match day to  watch PFC play would be more then enough help on and off the field  from Nisbett et all.....

Bunbury based team is utter madness, we need less teams not more, sending a team each week up and down from metro to south west more expense for WAFL clubs.

All right. Have worked it out. Stuff Em. But Perth must have Piarra Waters and Canningvale.

New team in Joondalup to spread the talent on the west/north west coast.

South to give Claremont two teams. Net loss two teams.

Claremont to give Subi four teams. Net loss two teams.

Subi to give the new Joondalup Hawks six teams. Net loss two teams.

WP to give the new Joondalup Hawks two teams. Net loss two teams.

Eagles align with the new Joondalup Hawks for their first 10 years in the same format as Freo do with Peel.

Now that is beautiful
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

I’m telling you guys now if the Eagles headquarters were at Bassendean Oval or Joondalup Arena, those two WAFL clubs would be maximising everything they can get from being Eagles co-tenants. Even Eddie Maguire once said not so long ago, he regards the WCE the most successful club in the AFL.

It would be pure madness for us not to entertain any arrangement that might benefit us both on and off the field, especially considering where we are coming from. I spoke to a bloke tonight at training who has nothing to do with the club apart from being a long time supporter and member. He said the most important goal of any football club is to win a premiership and do everything possible to achieve it. He had no problem at all with having some sort of arrangement with the Eagles. He is about a decade older than me and seen the success of the 60’s and grew up playing footy and going to school with a lot of the old greats.

He is old school but is realistic. You must do whatever you can to improve and gain any advantage you can. All the successful clubs do it. We haven’t been bold enough to do it, that’s why we languish down the bottom. If you don’t change anything and think outside the box then nothing will change.
