Love the choice of wording DD - "arrangement".....you already have that mate with MRP looking top notch, HJ on site etc......as you and your mate rightly say, one must do anything to get ahead......does that mean using the word "alignment" instead? If TFAF wants all those boxes ticked then, alignment not arrangement is where Perth will be heading with WCE.....worked wonders for EP and Peel.....premiership and money is what you want over respect, then go for it I say, you only live once.

Problem solved with a new Joondalup team.

West Coast align with them.

Only costs two junior clubs from South, Claremont, Subi and WP.

This evens out the field. 

I don't know how people don't see it.

You might be closer to the mark than you realise TFAF. The third club talking to the Eagles about an alignment is West Perth. A natural fit I would have thought.

Zero chance of Perth members agreeing to any alignment and if shonky Shields thinks he can get it up without going to the members then bye bye Bob and cronies.

EP interested, WP interested. Claremont maybe. Watch this space. 

That won't help with the distribution of talent Super. 

Another team in Joondalup is what we need. WC align with them for 10 years. 

The Joondalup Hawks will also be able to show WP how to welcome oppo supporters up there. 

This is the big change the WAFL needs people 

The Joondalup and WCE idea is just as stupid as the Bunbury idea. Firstly why would WCE move a team anywhere when they have a brand new facility in Lathlain? It makes zero sense for WCE.  WAFL needs to drop a club not gain one.

Claremont, WP and Subi country zones need to be drastically reduced - that will solve some of the talent spread issues. 

As for Perth and WCE alignment, that is obviously the best case scenario for WCE "but how can Perth make it the best case scenario for them".  EP did the right thing for them at the time - they needed the $$$$.   PFC will have to do a deal  - its only a matter of when. Best make the best deal possible while they hold all the cards, rather than make a deal in 5 years when  desperate like EP were.  5 year deal, no interference with football department on game day etc etc.

Freo were aligned with Peel whilst being co-tenants @ Freo oval with South. 

The model of introducing a new team in Joondalup sees the integrity of the traditional 8 maintained. 

It spreads the west/north west talent - making the competition more even. 

It gives us a ten team comp that see each team playing the other 9 twice for an 18 round competition. 

It will hopefully teach WP some manners too.

PD agree we are not broke so not the same need that EP had.
WCE have indicated that there will be no money involved.
Therefore the only thing in it for us is players.
We need to be careful how many we take if any.
And we need to be careful about preserving our independence.
We are in the box seat here.
No more than 3-4 at the very most.
Play league if you are good enough and ressies if you're not.

Given WC have dumped their ressies I assume that means their "licence" fee paid to the WAFL clubs is also gone so they have that money to bribe a possible suitor to look after their leftovers in some sort of full or limited alignment model.

If it is true then not overly surprised that Joondy are one of the interested parties to align with WC its right down there with their instant white flag response to going broke.
