He must have been here for a while as there's still north of 20k Aussies trying to get home so there's no way they'd let a backpacker enter the country on a tourist visa in recent times. I guess masks inside public venues could be worse with McGowan driving the show. 6 months ago we'd be in full lockdown with coppers manning the routes out of Perth turning people around.
