I think their will be a couple of risks at selection! We definitely won't be playing the extra tall to combat them as this game is all about us kicking a winning score and for that reason I can see Riddoch and Neldon in the same team for the 1st time this year. Houghton will come in for Nuich as well.

All the best Swannies.. You have a good chance of winning this one and if you do good chance you will get that 5th spot.
From all reports Seaby is carrying an injury but they will be playing him as critical game for CLA.. Hit that shoulder hard guys LOL

One thing is certain it is going to be a very wet ground tomorrow... and this should be to Swans advantage.

WP seem to have a bit of a injury problem and must juggle players to ensure we dont run players with niggles etc this week v SF. V Cla next week you will see us with a full strength team going into finals.
WP only has to win one game of 2 to remain in 2nd spot and feel WP selection comittee rather than risk further injury to the guys win minor injuries are putting caution before players. Just my read on the situation looking at our outs this week.

Seeya in the finals... but first you have to win this Elimination final this week. Big game and definately game of the round. See you are on ABC Radio

I know this sounds strange but if we get over the top of SF this week and set 2nd spot in concrete next week could be a rest week for WP... So you would be hoping for a SF win.
Strange footy isnt it B)

MD I reckon Rudy & Dylan would have played in the same side vs FART at home & Claremont in Mt Barker earlier in the year. That early FART game was probably along with the $ubi game our best 2 performances of this season.

I went for a walk over the oval yesterday afternoon and it was in shocking condition! Several areas where big puddles had formed from the 55-60mil that Bassfndean had in 24hrs up until 3pm and unable to be cut for that reason.
For mine there is far too much traffic on the oval and things have to change! The Pridon team should play elsewhere and even the women's team should have some games moved imo. Last week there were 5-6 games on the oval.
So I'm not expecting a pretty game and I highly doubt either team will be kicking 100 points.

Outstanding display of guts and determination by Swan Districts this afternoon.

These guys just refuse to say die and when they were looking down the barrel in the 3rd quarter, trailing by 22 points in a low scoring game, they just came back again and prevailed in the arm wrestle in the last quarter.

As a supporter I am just so proud of their efforts this year. Today was like most of the rest of the season. What they lacked in skills they more than made up for with sheer effort and a team spirit that I have not seen the equal of at Swans for many years. Everyone of them today could hold their heads high with what they produced this afternoon. Blight and Rogers in particular were magnificent and I think this game was their best in a Swans jumper for both of them.

If this is to be Swans last game of the season, the supporters will have a lot of happy memories to take out of the year and much to look forward to in 2016 with all the young guys they have blooded this year.

If Swans can sneak into the top 5, you never know what they could do. They are already battle hardened from playing virtual elimination finals for the last 6 weeks so they will have nothing to lose.

Great gesture by the players to sing the song outside in the members area to recognise the supporters who may just have got them over the line today who knows.

Now we wait.........

Games like today show why it is so great to be a Swans' supporter. Well done to all three grades. We all become honorary West Perth supporters next week.

Southerner, I thought the umpiring today was absolute 5hit. So bloody inconsistent and at times almost ridiculous. Today there were no rules, just laws.

Todays jubilant scenes after the game were some of the best I can remember at a WAFL ground in years the impromtu rendition of the song in the race next to the can bar was sensational & spine tingling, I had a tear in the eye too also with members of the 1990 premiership team looking on and the atmosphere after in the bar shone brighter than any other bar in the comp too by far, when we are up and about the atmosphere is raucus, check out the video from Facebook below
