Phew. The second last qualifying match, and it turns out to be an elimination final. Swan Districts should win if fielding a fully fit team. The 2 previous encounters between these two teams ended with both narrow victories for Claremont. Have a feeling Swans will turn this one around with a 2 goal victory. Not sure of the Claremont injury list, but should be one of the games of the year.

WAG, Its an elimination final for Swans but not for Claremont. The Tigers will have a 2nd chance in round 23 if they don't get over the line next week

Very true. I think Claremont would be fancying their chances more against Swans than at the Arena the following week? Given West Perth (thus far) have won all their Home games, will be trying to keep that record intact. The Arena not been kind to visiting teams this season. Going to depend on the percentage differential by the looks of it? Swans will need to win by a sizable margin next week to give themselves the best chance. Realising West Perth are no certainties to bowl Claremont over in the last qualifier. Going to be an interesting next couple of weeks.

Claremont amaze me how quickly they can rebuild there list. Not just in this era but going back to the late 1970"s..They still have the double chance but for Swans its D-Day.We need to fresh for this game, started the West Perth game slowly.Long season off so give it all DUCKS.

It would be really apt for them to have a win to pay tribute to Swoop and Tallen on their testimonial day. Not sure whether Amesy is going around again next year but it could well be Swoops last game at Bassendean as I understand he had to be talked into playing this year.
Also I believe that the 1990 premiership team are having a reunion so it will be a big day for the club.
Whatever happens in round 23, it is important for them to finish their home and away season on a good note.

Hopefully there is a terrific turnout for Swoop & Amesy's testimonial on Saturday Night.

Amesy is definitely going around! He wants to get to 250 games and that means he has to play another 2 years.

Should be a belter of a day on Saturday with the 3 games all impacting finals. Our colts are trying to get top spot back after last weeks wake up call, the Ressies are endeavouring to finish 2nd although that doesn't mean much more than bragging rights as no home ground advantage will be afforded come finals time and then the obvious do or die clash in the League game.

Hopefully the weather will be fine and we get a decent crowd to spur the lads on,I'm sure the Can Bars packed with the best fans in the comp can play a part in getting the boys up! Should get 3-4k through the gates.

With regards to selection,I missed last weeks game so a bit hard to comment but I think Houghton may come back in for Nuich. Woild be a big call to have Nelson and Riddoch in the same team but might be the punt we have to take to kick a winning score. Wilson,Whitsed and Slater the the others in contention. Something about Slater, when he plays we seem to go ok from memory. Anyone know if Ugle any chance?

Farrrrk I hope we win!
