You can access the page direct from this link waflfootyfacts.net/ladderperiods.php

Ric, brilliant stuff, what a treasure trove of information!
What stuck out for me was Subiaco's win/loss ratio between 2001-10, 73%! Amazing feat over a 10 year period. Not surprisingly Swans best era was the 80's

I think we will pump Claremont this week and if West Perth are dinkum chances and can beat Claremont the week after then we will make the 5 and be EVERY other teams worst nightmare as we have yet to play 4 Q`s of footy this year but if we get the chance in finals then watch out because I believe most of the teams that have beaten us have won not because they were superior but because we allowed them to win with some of our `lazy` footy, something very evident last Saturday v West Perth who weren't that impressive to be honest in victory but full marks to them for still winning when not playing great footy and if they produce 4 Q`s of footy then they could be the only challenger to $alaryaco if we don't make it. With the Weagles and Freo being so involved in AFL finals I think this will work against the aligned ERT and Peelmantle outfits..We just need to tighten up in our forward pressure and take the first option more often than not!..should be a cracker at Basso on Saturday! Carn the mighty black and whites!

"We allowed them to win"....besides looking like Collingwood you are beginning to sound like them Swandog.......I wish EF didnt play such lazy footy and played for 4 quarters instead of none....I wish EF didnt turn over the footy as much as they do.......reality is difficult to deal with when it bites.......

...considering every other club in the top 5 have dealt with EF with ease and SD fell over the line against them pretty well answers my question why SD are sitting where they are.........but rather be in your seat than mine....good luck to SD on the weekend it should be a great game........the colts game will be a beauty too!

We sure as hell haven't played four quarters of footy either, the two halves of footy against East freo last week were like Woolworths budget sausages and then wagyu fillet steak, bizarre.

Whatever the outcome on Saturday in what should be a last man standing affair, credit to the Tiges after losing the first 5 games to even be in the running for a finals berth.

For those with very long memories think back to 1964 when Cl had to beat WP in the final game to make the 4, they did so in front of a massive crowd at Leederville, then ran through all the others to win the flag. But they have 2 massive games against Bogundean & Joondy. If they get past SD rest assured Joondy wont be taking their foot off as they wouldn't want to drop to 3rd with the possibility of playing the qual final down at centrelink paddock. Peelmantle have 2 very winnable % boosting games against Perth & SF.

Fantastic finale to the season and a shame we cant see the CL SD game on the box .... unbelievable.

SS in 1964 was that the day John Vukman from WP missed a goal 5m out in the dying seconds which would have won the game for WP and 4th spot? I think I read a story about that - perhaps one of Oos stories. Also in 1963 as well as 1964 and 1965 the 4th placed sides won the flag and this hasn't been achieved since, and since 1960 only 4 times has a side won from 3rd - EF in 1979, SD in 1983, EP 2001, 1993 Claremont - (but top 5 system so had double chance) So history suggests that anyone below top 2 has no chance but with this being one of the closest seasons in memory where most of the year only % and maybe a game separated 2nd from 7th it could be another year it can occur. I can only hope..The John Vukman story is fascinating though as you cant cut it much finer than that! Claremont must have given him an honorary life membership if the story is true

We are never impressive mate, hence why we are never rated by the pundits year in, year out. I suppose your lucky you had Perth 3 times this year as the extra game and win has come in handy or you would be washed up right now for 2015.

  knew I would get you in!! Like I said although not being as impressive as perhaps others, and you have said the same thing (only from games I have seen) It augers well for West Perth going into the pointy end which is the best time to pull out your very best footy like in 2013 where you never looked likely a month out but switched on from 2nd semi day onwards..Handy place to be!
