The ground is located on Guildford Rd at the corner of Old Perth Rd & Lord St FYI Larry ..as I know you supposedly haven't been to the home of footy before I thought I would help with the directions! ;)

Just my way of saying hello Freeze...been a while...hope all is well in NZ...call it lazy footy, lack of concentration or dare to take the game on, reactive rather than proactive footy, I think all teams are guilty in some way but the ones at the top of the ladder a little less. I've been very happy with the effort level as a whole at SD this year. 15min lapses against the better sides have cost us dearly in a few games but not because of lack of effort. Execution has been the biggest problem at SD this year. Haven't seen enough of your boys to comment but must be a real disappointing season for EF supporters on the back of such a bright finish in 2014 despite the goal kicking fiasco in the prelim.

If Swans fail to make the finals this year, I would suggest that any review would break this failure down to just 25 minutes of football, 10 minutes at Joondalup on the ANZAC weekend when we coughed up a 26 point lead and the first 15 minutes of the 3rd quarter at the Showgrounds a few weeks back when we went from equal at half time to a 32 point deficit. I know its easy to be wise in hindsight but if Swans had won these two games as we probably should have, we would now be sitting pretty in the top 5 with an 11-9 record.

This all comes back to playing 4 quarters of footy.

Respectfully ask mikeh, are you suggesting a genuine lack of effort during these 2 lapse periods you detailed. I can't comment on the WP ANZAC day game as I wasn't there but as for the Claremont game I felt we coughed the ball up too easy which led to Claremont's surge in momentum.

My take on it DW was that we were absolutely spent late in the last quarter of the WP game but for some reason did not try and shut the game down by putting everyone behind the ball. They just allowed West Perth to continue their run on and then combined with some horrendous turnovers cost us that. The Claremont game was a funny one. The boys did not come back on the ground after half time till about a minute before the siren to resume play. As a result they were rushed in their preparation and appeared to not switch back into the game till Claremont had kicked away. I am certainly not blaming lack of effort rather lack of game awareness/concentration plus poor execution of skills on some occasions. Anyway lets not dwell on the lost games, the season is still alive for us yet!

Agree there mikeh....all about this week now....one thing I trust in this team is the effort will be there from the first bounce....

lets hope our colts can get back to playing some good footy and redeem themselves against the Tiges who decimated us around the clearances a few weeks back. Should be a cracking match if the last one is anything to go by

I have been going to Bassendean since the forties that I can remember probably earlier. I recall catching the prospector down with family and friends to watch Swans and EP through the late sixties and seventies.

Riddoch, Houghton and Ugle back in the squad. Will be interesting to see if Swans include the extra tall to try and combat the Claremont big blokes. They have an embarrassment of riches with Maister, Bradley, Seaby and Andrews all very good players.

My mail is Bradley is struggling with a hamstring so hopefully that slows him up a bit on Sat or he doesn't come up at all

Stopping the designated midfield kicker Ledger , Bradshaw from getting away to the side freely and pouring on a heap of fire on Neates Murphy Yeo & Davies will be the keys

Carn Swannies
