Im sorry. 18 rounds? That's only 16 games each. 120 days. Four months of footy. What do we do for the rest of the year??

At least the colts will be retaining clubs jumpers, at the very least thank fark for that. Unanswered questions are where will they be based and train (still at the WAFL clubs?) and when and where will they be playing (on same day as league?)?

TOO the only relationship between the WAFL clubs and the proposed colts' teams is that they will wear the WAFL jumpers. That will be the only relationship between the colts' players and the WAFL clubs. That won't play at the same footy ground as the ressies and the league.

Currently the wafl clubs get 160k a year to run colts, that funding will remain and the clubs will be releived of all the costs of running colts. Finance wise its a winner for the wafl clubs.

TAC get 500k a year to run a club, thats what local stand alone colts will get here once set up.

Fixturing has already been disjointed for years , league playing different days etc to colts.

One of your directors who I had a long conversation with this morning at my house told me the mooted changes are a joke and will not be a winner for the club in any way

Its not just about money it is about the disconnect that will occur between the league side and colts/juniors which has a flow on effect to a clubs support base/sponsors and volunteers too

Yep it will be the same as the WCE ressies running around in the old East Perth jumper, it has zero soul and god damn it was mighty fine beating those frauds today too!!
