No, quite correct.

West Australian reports 500 in attendance.

It was exactly 500.

What a joke!!!
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It's the size of the fight in the dog.
Winning isn't everything. It's the ONLY THING !!!!!!

I was there last night (not by choice mind you) and 500 is being generous. More like 300 including the Claremont contingent of about 25 sitting in the EP members.

What the hell is going on at Subi at the moment?? It was like a Perth old boys reunion - Steven Armstrong, Gary Armstrong, Andrew McDougall, JKT, Headphones Harry (Ric Curtis) even Scott Sekierka spotted hanging around!

Yep there is a bit of Perth in Subi at the moment. I was thinking just that watching both the colts and the league insist on switching the ball out of the backline at every opportunity. With a wet ball in constant rain it was a high risk low return strategy that saw them get belted in both games.

And Maher on the radio ???

I think 1000 would be a bit closer than 500 but a shit crowd is a shit crowd.
So if you were thinking 500 would it be as follows ???
200+ in subi members & bar,50+EP stand,200+ main stand,50+ other stand and outer ???

If Subi wanted to play a night game this week it should have been Sat night with far less competition ???

And yet I noticed the 'official' attendance figure given for the Subiaco/ Claremont match is just a touch over 1400?

I listened to both games on radio and the commentators said 500 if lucky at the Subi/Cla game
Perth EF game Russ and the boys said up to 3000 if not more?

They have to sort this out as the figures are all over the place.

I suspect the figures are not authentic and a WAFL boffin just makes an estimate as we have all seen.
Official figures off the gate would not even be accurate as there are a lot who come late, Players and officials who stay from earlier games,Free list people and we know who they are, Club members who pay for entry with their membership,
Split rounds where it is a friday night game and the colts and ressies play the next day so dont come into the crowd figures etc etc ..

Maybe they should just Google it :) Or maybe pics of the ground different angles and then do a head count.. The technology is there.. Bit hard on a night game though
This message represents the official view of the voices in my head

Yep defo very sus figures, I dont think they should be counting players and officials, not sure if goggle would work mate, but they need to get it sorted. Also most of the crowd associated with the colts and ressies leave by 1/2 time of the league.
were starting to get into sub 2000 and maybe even sub 1000 crowds so the figures are pretty heavily influenced by 50 or 100 people or so. were as before when you had 8000 they really meant nothing but now an extra 100 or so can make a big diff.

I reckon within 2 years attendances will become irrellevant to the WAFC and the clubs, as they will soley be reliant on handouts from the host club agreements, bars etc will constantly be subsidised and memberships/sponsors revenue will track down.

EFFC and SFFC alone have taken a $50,000 hit with the ending of the exclusive Monday foundation day derby.
