Yet those same posters are singurlarly quiet when it comes to the Abbott Coalition Government on their many broken promises (i.e. LIES) on the ABC and SBS Funding etc etc etc. Why is this I wonder!!!

Also, speaking of the Carbon Tax it is remarkable that there has been no reducton in Zone 1 and 2 fares after the repeal of the Carbon Tax even though the Barnett Government increased fares for those two zones as a consequence of the introduction of a Carbon Tax. Why are the posters here as mute as the Members for Swan (S Irons) and Belmont (G Godfrey) on this subject?

GWS you are being disingenuous in the extreme. The debate is not whether previous governments have lied, it is why there isn't the same amount of outrage and vitriol towards Abbott and Barnett that was shown by posters on this forum to Julia Gillard? That is the crux of the debate. Most if not all of those critical of the broken promises of the previous ALP Government have been singularly and even collectively mute on the performance of the Abbott and Barnett Governments with respect to fulfilling promises made prior to the election. Why is this so?

What are you talking about Swan? The media has jumped all over it. It is a huge talking point all over the country. Barnett is consistently bagged by all concerned.
Human nature will always take place that those that support Liberal will not be the ones bagging their party. Just as we never heard didly squat over Gillard and Labor party lies from the Labor supporters.

Swan I agree , making promises about the ABC funding was a blue, as was some other things about funding cuts.

But the core promieses were to Stop the Boats BIG TICK
Abolish the Carbon Tax BIG TICK
Fix the Budget,,thats the quamire one, thats the one with the pain, and the most sensitive nerve in any voter is the hip pocket nerve, everyone knows if you start telling jokers they will lose a quid before an election you have no hope of ever winning.

Aussies want more and more for less and less, we have a dearth of poltical will to fix the hard issues, we are going down the track of europe were we will have a change of govt every 3 years or so, it will be a disaster as nobody will want to take risks and fix the budget problems.
