Well that would not be surprising - the outstanding financial result alone of last year has seen to that. makes sense.

At least this way the successful host club will have time to prepare the ground, last year it was a 2 week rush.

The other thing they need to sort is the members stand arrangements, to see 700 seats empty last year was out and out wrong.

Chaddy the WAFL is not in financial trouble. There is not even an entity known as the WAFL. If you mean the WAFC it is not in financial trouble or anything like it.
 

Having a GF at all in a Covid year was a good outcome
Being able to sell all the tickets was good outcome ( sadly with a 10K McGowan limit)
Running it under extremely difficult global financial conditions was a good outcome
Being able to turn it around and make it a $250,000.00 return to clubs was a good outcome
The ground playing surface was a good outcome
The close game and atmosphere was a good outcome.
