Yep the smallest regular WAFL GF crowd since 1930 (taking out the WWII underage competition).
Just didnt feel like a GF at all yesterday but well done to SF for making the most of the WAFC gift that was the *2020 WAFL finals series!
Congrats to the 3 winners- SF (League), EP (Reserves) & SU (Colts) and bad luck to CL in all 3 grades still a good achievement in this micro footy season.
Hopefully next season is back to a normal full football season and just as importantly back at a Stadium befitting a WAFL GF in 2021 not 1921!

Disgraceful decision to hold it at that dump of a ground - completely junks the competition before we even begin to talk about opportunity costs by not holding at the best (and empty) ground in the country.

game has to be at Optus, if the WAFC cant budget for that each year out of respect to the WAFL competition then get rid of them, a close game at the stadium would have created a great atmosphere, make it free entry and market it to kids and families.

if its going to be at a WAFL ground then give it to the winner of the 2nd semi and just play the league game there out of respect to the supporters of both sides.
the colts and reserves can play the day before.

Maybe they could add the final insult to a faltering WAFL next year and hold it at a country venue. Cars parked around the oval, kids running around the boundary line, tooting horns when a goal is scored........aaah, that good old West Aussie atmosphere!!!

Yes it wasn't a great look on tv. It'll be interesting to compare yesterday to the SANFL GF in a couple of weeks where they'll have 30k at Adelaide Oval...chalk and cheese for mine and an indictment of the WAFC.
