The WACA will only hold 10,000 after the latest redevelopment!
WP would be extinct if it moved back to Leederville as it would have to give up one of the best zones in Perth in the rich on talent and players far North/West suburbs...WP were only allocated that zone on the premise of moving up to Joondalup as it was Subiaco's metro zone before that!

The redevelopment is allowing a 10,000 capacity only. Could certainly have qualifying round games there. Finals wouldn't be the best being at the WACA. We'll end up being in the same situation as what's happened at Freo Oval with many unhappy people unable to attend.
The state govt has said recently that test match cricket will mostly be played at the new stadium from now on. State cricket will still be played at the WACA and on the odd occasion test matches occasionally apparently.

WACA Capacity can be expanded to 15,000 under the current plan, 20 would be ideal.

Great game. Great for footy. Actually quite liked the look of the crowd. Perhaps each club should ensure their facility can fit 11000 people. All would struggle atm (excepting SF) with facilities and parking - but might be an idea. Two close loses for the Tig's from recent appearances now - of course the last being the famous SD game. Gee would be tough being a West Coast and Claremont supporter today

I reckon that says a great deal about the type of supporters at those 2 GF at Optus because when the AFL was first played there under restricted crowds due to COVID low 20 k both Freo and Eagles supporters made it sound like 40 k was there,whos to say 25 - 30k wouldn’t have been there today.

The GF must be played at the states premier stadium.
