If one believes what is printed on the Wafl website, South Fremantle had no players on report after last weeks match. Main is doubtful through suffering an illness and is listed as returning in a week? The other 5 injured players will not be considered.
For Claremont, the only inclusion could be Hamp if he overcomes the knee injury. If he passes his Test, I'd imagine he to be in the team.
Claremont also had no players on report from their last match according to the match wrap-up.

For the sake of a 100k the WAFC has really sacrificed the sanctity and credibility of the WAFLs showpiece game and really belittled it to the point where its like a Wesfarmers bush week carnival decider between Mukinbudin and Dongara and for what?????because the money they're saving is a mere pittance compared to the ridiculous fat cat salaries that has squandered grass roots funding over a long period of time.

Couldn't agree more. A joke having a grand final at a suburban oval when a stadium is available. I would have paid double entrance fee ( $30) if that would have covered the cost of opening the ground. I'm sure a lot of WAFL fans would have done the same to ensure the game could be on the big stage.

What’s really disappointing and revealing about this is we now know 3000 people will Be there without paying a cent ,
Based on that we can safely assume 30% of most Wafl GF s are freeloaders
The 7000 also includes kids who had
To get a free ticket on line .
Apparently they are trying to do another. Release but who knows.

Meanwhile in South Australia, a state that PRIORITISES its 2nd tier competition comes the following announcement

All major round matches in the three-week Statewide Super League Finals Series will be played at Adelaide Oval, with the Preliminary Final on Sunday, October 11, and Grand Final on Sunday October 18 with up to 25,000 spectators permitted each match day.

SANFL General Manager Football Matt Duldig said it was a great reward for the top four clubs and their players and supporters to have SANFL football back at Adelaide Oval with big crowds for finals.

“It’s a tradition to have the Statewide Super League Finals Series at South Australia’s home of footy, and now with certainty around availability, we’re thrilled to be back at Adelaide Oval in October,” he said.

Tickets for the Finals Series will be on sale via Ticketek this week with an SA Health requirement for all ticketing to be electronic and all tickets to be pre-purchased online due to the need for contact tracing. Further details of on-sale dates will be available via the SANFL website.

Tickets will be $16 for adults, $11 concession for weeks 1 and 2 Finals; $27 adults, $22 concession for the Grand Final*. Under 18s entry is free.

Social distancing will continue to apply for all spectators at Adelaide Oval, with one vacant seat space between all issued tickets.

The contrast could not be more stark

Jesus that's disappointing Mike. The WAFC or what's left of it should hang their collective heads in shame, resign immediately and let's put people in there who have at least a scintilla of interest in the WAFL.

Yes its pathetic BC. The SANFL have put us to shame with their commitment to the State league for years. In this pandemic year with no community transmission in either state, SA resumed their competition on the 27th June, WA on the 18th of July. The finals started in WA on the 18th September, In SA they are starting this Saturday. All finals in SA are played at the Adelaide Oval, yet we are getting some half arsed grand final at an inadequate suburban oval which only appears to have room for 7000 paying customers. There is potential for 25,000 people for all finals in SA.

SA have done exactly what the WAFC should have done but didn’t do any of.
Has Gavin Taylor left the building as yet?

See my previous post, SANFL and SACA did a great deal on the A O Redevelopment and the cash they got from Football Park. They pretty much play there for nothing. I never liked it when WAFL moved the finals series away from Subi Oval.
