In the old days you could get away with this sort of dirty play but with the duty of care these days the league had no option. I mean just look at the club's record it's disgraceful. They made their bed so now they have to lie in it and no amount of whinging is going to change the facts.

Yep agree. Others clubs take note, there are still a few bad eggs out there and i hope this move tightens the process. Good on the WAAFL for this action. Plus for any yellow and red cards given, the clubs should be penalized financially. As a lot of them are struggling with the dollars you will see a move like this nip the problem by hitting them where it hurts and can be a cash cow for the league.

How come Quinn says he and the "new A-grade coach" Grover were at a meeting with the WAAFL in March, yet wanted to delay a September meeting until a new coach was appointed? What a load of BS!!

I recall playing against Kelmscott back in 1984 in the Sunday League..

Kelmoscott players were openly racist toward our Aboriginal players .... as were the fans... plenty of cheap shots of the ball. They should have been banned back then.

32 years later nothing has changed??

This is the same for any sport played in Kelmscott, the lot of them just take the field with the aim of picking fights and punching on. Most of the time you can't even set foot in their clubrooms without issues, even from their spectators. Glad to hear they've been banned, nobody needs that rubbish.

Don't blame the amateur board they have given Kelmscott every opportunity to comply with there requests,I heard the written submission consisted of a handful of dot points ( and I stand to be corrected if my info is not correct)hardly a convincing submission.I may be totally off base like a lot of people but until all the facts are made public which they probably won't there is a lot of guess work going on regarding this situation. Let the board and Kelmscott sort it out without all the mud slinging.

A lot of unknowns from both sides atm.

I heard Quinn last night talking with Hardie and Langdon and his beef was that they had assumed they had a handshake agreement with the WAAFL based on what management plan was put in place by the new coach Grover. Problem is that it was all only verbal they should have put it in writing and covered all bases. The WAAFL administration are not innocent in all of this either why wait until Friday afternoon before the first game to advise the club of their suspension? surely it could have been addressed sooner? In this day and age of modern technology there appears to be a a huge miscommunication on the part of both parties. Get together and get it sorted.

I am a long way removed from Footy at Kelmscott in the present, but back in the day they were a very good club, who we played against, and had a few drinks with after match, and some of those blokes are still mates today.

If though the Club had a case to answer now to WAAFL for it's current situation, which it appears has gone South a fair way from the old days, then they must abide by the WAAFL directive or pay the consequences, which they have appeared to have got.

None of this info declares if and when they are likely to be playing again. Any word??
