At least 8 quality new faces in the league side this year who were playing in the good old days of 2011/12 but weren't apart of it last year as well as many other players who will be strong in the ressies. It's the most numbers on the track in 2 years, a lot to do with the positive vibe around the place with players respecting a good coach. The club has high expectations this year. And yes, hasleby has been sighted down at training.

Surely not playing? Saw a few months back. Would need to hit the treadmill pretty hard to get out on the park

I wouldn't know the stats King but I think Whitfords have only spent maybe 1 or 2 seasons out of the past 10-15 in B Grade. History shows that very rarely does 2 the two relegated teams from A Grade coming straight back up. So really it was between Whitfords and Swan Aths and from what I saw last year I would back in Whitfords.

You may be right in that neither Ath or Whitfords come back up, but I think that one of the A Grade clubs will come back up. I don't believe it will be Swan Ath as they were dismal last year.

My boys as mentioned will continue to beat good sides throughout the year. The consistency is a key to us, and as I mentioned, it is the depth of the side and youth coming through which challenge us. Catta /Banksy and co aren't getting younger, and in a lot of big wins (considered to be surprise wins by others) over the last 3-4 years it has been the senior players who have led the charge. I just fear for life after these stalwarts.

Anyway we will be around the mark between 4th and 7th. Unless we can drag a few more boys down over the coming month

I think Maddingtons depth this year will be stronger than ever , the numbers through training have been really positive.
Only lost 1 quality player back to his old club from last year , but Dean Blackwell returns from winning the association B&F in WAFL reserves , Kane Goodwin looks set to play and a few other handy types.
Hopefully the young kids who really progressed late last year step up.

Looks to be a really strong competition.

I agree should be a very even competition.

Dean Blackwell? Winning the WAFL reserves fairest and best? I beg to differ.

Kane Goodwin? Former East Perth and Swan Districts player? Once banned for illegal drug use? Good to see him still playing football.
Also Stirling look to have added some depth with Sweet and Maldennis. They both were playing in the 2013 WAFL Grand Final with East Perth before leaving to play in Victoria last season. Cameron Grover also played league footy at East Perth.

You better tell Aidan Lynch from WP his 32 votes for winning the last years Prendergast Medal (WAFL Reserves) has been overturned in favour of Dean Blackwell's 2 vote tally!!

I have been away for a bit but am led to believe that Kingsway will pretty much have the same side as last year but have added a couple of good mids, a quality Ruckman and another quality forward & Back (From Subi i believe) which can only improve them.

I'm pretty sure Kingsway would be pretty happy this season to Consolidate there position in B Grade with a view to hopefuuly gettiong to A Grade within the next 2 - 3 years as opposed to being 1 season wonders and going back to C Crade.

In Kingsway's favour is that they are a relatively young side that is made up of quite a few guys who have played at WAFL level at Colts & ressies level so they can obviously play a bit. They also have very good depth with a Ressies side that won the GF last year and played finals the year before

Also there Colts have played in the last 2 grand finals (losing 1 by a point and winning another by 8 goals) so there depth is very strong. They also have strong ties with The Kingsway JFC so the steady supply of younger players will continue to flow through. It is interesting to note that a lot of the guys currently playing League at Kingsway played in A colts premiership back in 2010.

Having said that, apart from Stirling the competition in last years C1 comp wasnt overly strong so it will certainly be a big step up to B Grade for Kingsway however it is a challenge that im sure they will be up for.

Looking forward to seeing a few games when i can this year in what is shaping up as a very good B Grade Competition
