Why you Phil? of all people, why u??? There is no God!!!

It made me puke seeing Magic wearing those shite colours all year DW and getting paid by the WCE to plot our demise!!

Nothing like the sick feeling you'll get if Nic Natanui, Clancee Pearce or Michael Walters ever turn out for East Perth against Swans. Lets hope they remain ensconced in their respective AFL outfits.

SINCE PHIL PLAYED FOR THE EAGLES AND STILL WORKS FOR THE EAGLES I DON'T SEE THE DRAMA.DOUBT PEARCE OR WALTERS WILL PLAY FOR US SINCE THEY ARE DOCKERS.WAS GLAD NEWMAN PLAYED FOR YOU THIS YEAR AS WELL AS BENNELL.

Sorry my mistake Chaddy of course they will be Peel players, still gutted about sunday I guess. Don't think Newman will survive on the Eagles list so you won't have to worry about him. Bennell I'm not sure

great to see Narkle still involved in footy, passing on all his magic to another generation of footballers......be more disappointed if the guy wasn't involved in footy at all.....

great post cardy.....makes a difference from constantly seeing how many free kicks went one way and not SD way.....how many were soft, how many were in the opposition 50 and not SD's...... and how many resulted in goals for the opposition SD were playing that day.....

can you find us some facts cardy, on how many goals were kicked by ring ins against SD over the years?.....especially in the finals......love the stats side of footy!

Think they left out last years preliminary final in which Swans scored 11-8, so the total for the last 3 games is 40 -14 -254, still pretty good until you remember that we lost all 3 games comfortably :(

Thanks Mike not sure how I missed that, probably cos we lost I wasn't thinking straight, never like doing the reviews after a swannies loss. I'll fix it up later today. Also will look at swans v east Perth under alignment / host club as I don't think swans have ever beaten east Perth whilst they have been aligned to eagles

Makes for great background viewing in my shop does these old WAFL games, especially the GF's. Have 82,83,84 & 2010...am missing the one where I get to watch Don Pyke lose!!

D/w I haven't read the last two pages of this topic so someone may have already given the answer. When Swans won the 2010 GF I got a DVD of that year and also the 1990 DVD from the ABC. If you contact them you should be able to get the 1990 and the 2010 (if you don't already have it). You know you have watched it a few times when you can remember the commentary.

They were both around $40 - $50 from memory and are recommended viewing - particularly over the long summer months.

The stats on "ring ins" kicking goals against SD over the years wouldnt be hard if you wanted to do it. The WAFL ONLINE site has results of all games so you would only have to go to SD in finals (you can set your paremeters to that on top of page) Then go through the goal kickers in each game. Cant see the point though?

The WAFL stats are at

www.wafl.com.au/games

For eg here is the 2012 goal kickers and stats

www.wafl.com.au/games/view/9407

Claremont Best Players and Goals Kickers
GOALS: 6 T.Lee, 3 R.Walton, 2 I.Richardson, C.Jones, 1 J.Murphy, L.Stevenson, L.Blackwell, A.Foster

Swan Districts Best Players and Goals Kickers
GOALS: 3 T.Geappen, A.Hansen, 2 M.Newman, D.Garlett, 1 A.Stephens, W.Lammie, T.Notte, M.Outridge

I reckon Andy Krak will need to buy one boys and post it to a few AFL clubs, if he wishes to extend his AFL career beyond 2013.....any particular part of that 2010 GFsome of those possible AFL suitors need to watch?.......

Here's a couple for you Freezin from the 4th quarter:

(i) his pass to Coniglio who goes back to kick the goal;

(ii) him kicking the winning goal.

hopefully those two efforts will win over the AFL recruiters......though at 30 would be nice for the guy to finish off his career where his dad and uncle made names for themselves.....yeah you got it.... the Claremont footy club......or perhaps the club where he was originally drafted from.... the SFFC.....always like seeing fellas return to their roots until retirement.... :)
