Great thing is we are 3rd, have beaten Claremont convincingly this season which no other side has done, have beaten both West Perth, East Freo and Perth convincingly and have HEAPS of room for improvement. And as far as giving opinions and criticism, well as a member I have that right and never have resorted to abuse of our own. Doesn't mean you cant criticise strongly..its called passion

Remerkably Swandog the Sunday Times couldn't manage to fit Notte in our best 6 players.

I certainly wasn't happy with out performance on Saturday, particularly in the first half. We butchered the ball going into our forward line at least 6 times in the first quarter. That needs to be eliminated when we play the better teams. Personally I would like to see Bennell play a lot closer to his opponent when the opposition has the ball.

It is a question of whether the glass is half full of half empty. Our first half was not good; but we showed character by getting back into the match in the second half. In some respects our last matches against Claremont, West Perth and East Freo will stand us in good stead if we make the finals as we would probably have played some of our best footy to get there.

We should enjoy the week off and hopefully a large number of Swans' supporters will make the trek down to Mandurah the following Saturday.

Yeah I think the disappointment that so many Swans supporters express is a sense of frustration that really this team is good enough to be up near the top of the ladder challenging for the premiership, instead of battling desperately for a place in the top 4. We have seen glimpses of how they can play at various times but more often than not they just rock up and go through the motions like they did in the first half on Saturday. Certainly they have been a lot more consistent in the 2nd half of the season but they have been playing catch up because they lost home games that they should have won in the first 8 rounds.

Anyone know how Cass went at the tribunal? I heard Holmes got off after spreading Davos nose all over his face so I expect Cass to get off, even though I didn't see it, all I saw was a scuffle at the 3QT huddle, These maggots get the book out willy nilly now, geez it took them 9 attempts to nail Billings from Perth after he seemed to go up every second week..who is on the tribunal, anyone know?

Mate I was standing right next to Cass as I was heading out to the huddle & I would categorically say that was as big a joke of a report as Swoop's was the week before, all he did was push Brown in the chest ffs!!
In regards to Holmes getting let off for his very late hit on Davo  I would say on the tribunal panel must be the following- Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles and Jose Feliciano!! B)

Speaking of blind umpire 20 in the Geelong game who did not report Podsiadly would also be up there.

Freezin wrote: not too sure Lobb beating the likes of Westwood Swandog, makes him a draft candidate mate?......yeah perhaps if Lobb had beaten someone like Hannath......Peel must be cursing the big fella was an emergency for Freo.....he could of swung the game for Peel too......wonder if the return match between Peel and SD down in Mandurah will be just as eventful?

looks like your reserves side will have another day out in a fortnights time too.....can't believe Peel's seconds were that bad?.....or SD reserves were that good ;)

no SwanDog..... good on all the WAFL clubs for producing AFL talent.......though longevity I reckon is the true definition behind this word talent......don't you agree mate?.....or is simply getting drafted....crashing and burning, in the blink of an eye, enough for some folk these days?......surprised Swandog, you are a fella so easily pleased! ......or perhaps so easily influenced?..... :P
