Cardy since you seem to be reasonable what did you think of the appointment of Parry and Keating, two of our most experience umpires, to the Peel Souths game?

Swan 42 Have no idea how they select umpires for different games.
I have noticed they usually put old hands in when games like WP v EP/ EF V SF come up but that is understandable.
Parry umpired a lot of WP games this year and a lot in a row?
I suppose it just comes down to some type of roster? Dont know how the Umpires panel actually does it as said above maybe they give umpires experience with all teams and it goes around. Cant really see where it matters but you can be sure Senior umpires will get the Prelim and GF.
Other games not sure. There is more money in it for the big games obviously but like all sports you have to work your way up the ladder.

Good question though and would like to ask someone from the Umps board/panel how it works. Havent heard anyone for a while on 91.3. Sinclair at the beginning of the season did a slot on 91.3 but that has gone? Would be good to get some input from them. I notice Gieschen usually gets involved with the AFL umps and answers questions.
