Earlier on, East Fremantle were saying they'd hope to be making an announcement sometime October. Obviously the club looking at sooner rather than later.

I got a real bad feeling about this. Absolutely nothing from the club. I don't expect them to make a public announcement about where it's at, but some sort of communication would be welcomed.

Perhaps one of the shortlisted applicants still has commitments. I believe the club stated earlier that the coach would be announced early in October. Maybe the new coach will be present at the Lynn Medal night. Whilst I'm keen to know the outcome I am comfortable that they are taking their time to make sure that best outcome is possible.

If he is interviewing he would shorten to favourite IMO.

Conflict of interest maybe? EF job only part time and a mentoring roll within a AFL team would cover any shortfalls.

obviously money is Wiley's sticking point, why do the interview then?......as much as he appears to be the best candidate in terms of experience, development and profile.....at 62 yrs of age is he really a long term option for EF?.....or are EF after a short term option and go through the process again in 2 - 3 yrs time ?.....

I reckon Dwyer would be a good fit, has WAFL playing experience and has a successful 5 year coaching CV, ok only at the next level down from the WAFL but is that necessarily a bad thing?..... surely his genuine man management nous are there for all to see with Uni's continued success....perhaps with guidance from good footy folk in the background, like an Alexander, Brennan or Judge, Dwyer could be a good fit for the EFFC long term.....
