Interesting to see that article about Fitzgerald looking to go interstate to keep coaching.......I remember EF were keen to get him last time.....but management played a blinder and appointed Dunbar!........Definitely will need a strong individual with some recruiting power, part time role though not too sure if you are going to get someone of that ilk......definitely cant see Dodd getting it.........

As for todays game v WP.....well nothing the EF fans dont already know.......need goalkickers big tall fat or small dont care just as long as they can kick the farkin things.......let me see, Bristow kicks 4 in the 2nds today so he will come in next week and kick none no doubt..,,....,Ellis kicks none today, so he will drop back to the reserves and kick another bag next week.......on a positive note I can see Jack Cripps getting a league debut next week........Carl Green too perhaps?

Let's hope the board takes a long hard look at the whole football department personal and not just the senior coach position. After today's performance there needs to be a major overhaul for 2016. Won't matter who goes up and down at present with the ball movement and skill level. We went inside the forward 50m about 4 or 5 times in the first and a couple we counted in the third so that probably tells the story about goal kickers and opportunities. Out scored in the 2nd when kicking with a 5 goal wind. Lost count of turnovers that cost goals.

33 inside 50s in total for the game and not to many of any quality and 80+ disposals per scoring shot. We have players accumulating 25 to 30 disposals per week but they don't do much damage compared to the opposition.

East Fremantle interview panel had Fitzgerald and Dunbar in the final interviews for the position. At the end of the process the position was initially offered to Fitzgerald, who declined several days later. The position was then offered to Dunbar.

Can anyone please explain why after winning the toss we then choose to kick into a 5 goal wind on a day when it was supposed to hail at some stage. 5 seconds into the first the Falcons kicked their first goal. After 9 loses we decided to give a top side the advantage on our own dung hill, I think even Mongahan would have fallen off his chair in disbelief.

Freezin.... have a forward for you... Chooky Fowler from WP... Go for it.. :)

Now that Colin Barnett has dropped the SHARK culling EF might have a fair chance. The mongrol meant Sharks at sea but and not EFFC!!!
All is looking good.

SHIT I hope he doesnt go after FALCONS next year.. :(

Both Green and Cripps need to earn their spots, but guessing they are not ready yet.. The players seem to be playing with out cohesion and confidence. Maybe a backlash from the Leadership Groups actions with Coach Malaxos. I don't think he would have let the club get into this situation.

yeah true GreyFin players like Cripps and Green(C) need to earn their spots....but so do the likes of Boyle, Henson, Bristow, Lester-Smith, Schofield etc who throughout the year have struggled, considering their experience and standing within the club, yet have been persisted with for long periods before finally getting dropped.....any way with the season dead and buried, we all know what they bring to the table, lets see what others have in terms of potential......

Interesting to read that open letter from the club regarding what has gone on this year on and off the field......20 applicants supposedly for the coaching vacancy.....whittled down to 1 eventually late Sept/early Oct...definitely need someone in place by the season end so recruiting can be instigated.....be interested to see who gets it....no other WAFL club in the market for a coach.......making money off field supposedly.....good stock of juniors at the club.......gonna be a lot of watching this space for many EF fans over the off season....

problem is freez...as soon as EF develops a young bloke into a quality WAFL player, some stinking AFL team pinches them. it's no surprise the club has been inconsistent in terms of on field success over the last several years given the steady stream of talent going to the next level.
