Yep we all do but like most things we have varying opinions on how we will go forward and like most things unless you agree with folk you're wrong but oh well there is always the next decade.
 

So it is done Barnard is going around for another 2 years (oops 1 year which in itself is a bit of quandary). 

Sadly this morning the messages regarding players pulling the pin as a result makes me a bit worried abt where we are heading.

I am sure the oracle will be pleased and I hope for the clubs sake that it is the right and correct decision and not one made by the heart when the head was where it needed to be made!

Hopefully the Royals can be a force in the near future.

 Clearly  'Part of the review process identified the need for greater coaching support. The Club will now undertake the process of appointing a Director of Coaching.' suggests either the support staff where inadequate or something else, either of these would be issues.

Interesting after thought that it seems to me at least that a fair proportion of the 'blame' is being leveled at the line and assistant coaches which from my view is very unfair and wrong hence the need to the coaching director position.

The most significant thing not mentioned is players which has been bemoaned by the oracle as the reason for the less than adequate performance, we will have to wait and see what happens with this issue.

interesting decision,a one year extension isn't a ringing endorsement of the coach.barney will be under a lot of pressure for next year.so what needs to happen for us yo improve.

1.needs to change his coaching style.maybe a new mentor.
2.obviously some targeted recruiting.with a few players retiring our list looks even thinner.
3 player retention.i will be interested to see how many players may pull the pin now the decision has been made.if we lose more then we recruit like last year  we will be battling to move up the ladder.

Yep SD and C22 the squad issue will be interesting, players seeking greener pastures will be less 'rats deserting' but players not being prepared to continue in the current structure.

The club will need to work hard at getting players without going down the usual EPFC rabbit hole of wasting money on c grade reserves players.

how long will members put up with this ????

We need to shed at least 20 players in my opinion so players leaving is a god send. Unless it’s Ramma, Jones, Ameduri or Msando it doesn’t matter
