Live streaming of games does keeps that tyranny of distance to a minimum  fortunately.....on another positive note,  using that  "doggy" analogy of yours, makes me think  EP beating Subi is a given then...especially since EF only beat EP by 2 points after beating Subi by 40 odd points the week before.....here's hoping that Leederville derby is a beauty then, nothing like a bit of derby rivalry to get those traditional WAFL  juices flowing RL.....though my lock down  Kiwi money is on Subi sadly mate, because going off those recent EP v EF games..... no Ramsay, no EP.....perhaps even no Barney come next Monday......

Sadly lockdown just makes me less likely to stay at home RL.....too busy swabbing and vaccinating sadly......though I did get home in time to sit down and watch the live streaming of that EF win over EP on Sat......were you that fella screaming  in the audio at Merritt for kicking another point from dead in front...or was that your mate Barney?....LOL

Do you want me to slip a couple of doses of Pfizer in the post for you mate?.....just let me know if you do.

Doesn’t look good is an understatement KC.  May not hear until after the fairest and best out of respect to Barnard. 

Well i've got no idea what expectations the board had heading into this season with the bookies rating us as  a$41 chances to win this years flag.The boards inability to land a semblance of any meaningful recruiting left the list very vulnerable,particularly when you could see how active rival clubs were in the off season,and the fact that those clubs landed desperately needed quality key position targets,like Swans Chris Jones,Souths Schlensog who can play forward and back,as well as Freo list recruit Hugh Dixon,should be a source of embarrassment for the list managers.                                                                                                                           3 years into our Coach's tenure we had  an undersized inexperienced back pocket or half back flanker,playing full back for the most part of this season,an ex Swan Districts reserve player playing centre half back,an ex Pinjarra player playing C.H.F.and an ex Claremont reserves player playing full forward as well as sharing ruck duties,but he does his best and we must commend him for that,but at the end of the day talent wise, we probably have the worst goal to goal line in the league.                   Why after all this time,has the club left Barnard with such mediocre and meagre key position options,particularly when we reputedly have plenty of money in the bank,and extra concessional points in the cap that have never been fully utilized,and yet despite all this,he has still managed to manufacture wins against 2 top 4 sides,with a list that has more holes in it than a block of Swiss cheese.                                                                          What i find most galling is how the East Freo and Swans boards have backed in 2 ''outsider'' coaches with selective recruiting and contract extensions while our board,it has to be said,, is treating a favourite son as some sort of a pariah,particularly when i can't see anyone extracting anymore of this constrained list,and a man who's family Royal D.N.A. goes back 50 years, and is best placed to regain the clubs lost identity,  so lets hope common sense prevails.                                                

As much as I am loathed to ask or comment abt this topic I find myself wondering what the EPFC board, management and RLL are all doing with regard to the coaching decision for next and beyond season.

If Barnard is to reappointed then tell the players (cos some of them will be basing their next seasons future on the outcome)tell the supporters cos some of them will be waiting to see if they will renew their memberships and perhaps even the rest of the WAFL will want to know so they can look at what it means for their clubs.

If there is to be change then the same issues apply.

As I understand it from an unreliable source, RLL is the only valid source with this matter, but the board met last week to make a decision ????????????

Very strange Grump. The Royals season like ours finished 2 weeks ago and still no announcement. It’s not looking good for Barnard and if they do offer him a new contract he would have to question their motives and faith in him. They must be having discussions with other potential candidates behind the scenes. ie Darren Harris.

I find all this speculation very interesting,and maybe a little amusing.
