with his contract completed it is only right that the board should explore whether to extend his tenure or if a better option exists.it is hard to judge his coaching.he hasn't done a amazing job but he hasn't been poor.unfortunately for him covid has had a affect on his performance.last year was a shortened year so hard to judge him on that year. and with last two  years affected by the covid pandemic i think it has been hard to recruit players to bolster the list.

Chaddy, don't make the Covid pandemic an excuse for our Club not recruiting. All WAFL Clubs were affected and they managed to recruit. 

All maybe except West Perth, who did as little recruiting, if not less than us. But then they ended up with all three teams in the Finals, so you don't hear them bitching.

 could we have done better with recruiting?.maybe. if you look at who clubs actually  recruited this year  you find lot of players returning to their original clubs after being delisted.a few found new  clubs and a handful of interstaters of any note came over.

I wouldn't use the Joondalup Falcons as a shining example,apart from jibbing their creditors,they kept players on their books that they couldn't afford to pay i.e. Black, Nelson and Keitel,and i very much doubt they would be playing for nothing, if the club hadn't been rescued by the WAFC,who as far as i'm aware,are yet to be fully reimbursed.   As far as recruiting goes,most of the clubs didn't appear to be hindered by the Covid,when you look at the pre season recruiting blitz they engaged in,where alot of them unearthed some very good players,while we missed the bus,with plenty of money left in the bank,and plenty of extra concessional points left in the cap.

Hope you guys don't mind my two cents worth. From an outsider point of view it wouldn't be filling my confidence as a supporter or member and nor would it the players and the out of contract coach and it's hardly helping recruiting for 2022.

Compare that with the Sharks who left it until the half way point of the season but eventually took the plunge and re-signed Monaghan and bang they got an instant sugar hit with their best win of the season at that point against us in round 11. Johnno Marsh partied hard afterwards and ended up with a broken jaw which resulted in a few more losses but once they got all the troops back finished the season with a flurry.

EF have got momentum and clarity going forward. Your club looks like a dead duck atm.

Not unreasonable comments DD, EP are treading water at the moment.  But we are well resourced so when Bronte pulls the trigger I think we will move up the ladder. 

MMM I was hoping to flush out the oracle and yep sounds from the tone that the deal is done but only the inner sanctum and besties know the outcome.

Oh well back to watching the Royals with those rose coloured glasses back on.
