Yep...just announced that from 6 June up to 100 people allowed in pubs, restaurants and so on. Gyms, cinemas and other areas to open and the 4sqm rule drops down to 2sqm. Good news for cafes, pubs and the like for sure. Also contact sport to start again on June 6 which is one step closer for the WAFL's return.

there will surely be crowds now at the wafl games, hopefully people get out and support community sport at all levels.

MMM the wait and see what develops seems to be the strategy, see what pitfalls become apparent in other places, take heed of others do particularly SA, QLD and Tas and if their decisions work move forward.

Seems to me we are still in a better place than a lot of states. It will be interesting what the middle simpsons child and her next door neighbour have to say now!

I agree, it's moving fast now to get the economy back up to speed. The State borders will re-open by July I think. When pressure builds, something has to give.

Agree Grump. It seems they're using 2 week blocks between easing restrictions to see if infections rise and so far so good with the exception of bloody ships arriving in Freo. If we go to 100 people in outdoor gatherings on June 6 I reckon we can't be too far away from having unlimited gatherings sometime in July which would work for an August 1 kick-off for the WAFL....bring it on.

Yep, needed to be done.

I reckon with 300 allowed at a mixed venue you could just about get a WAFL game going with members.

I reckon that would work Bazz..most WAFL grounds have more than one entrance so rope off the outer into 3 sections and allow 100 people in each.
