Sneakers has caved in to pressure from all quarters especially the tourism sector and rightly so. He's looked at his approval figures which I'm sure have started to drop given his slow response to relaxing restrictions. Up until now he's done a good job but appears his most trusted info source for decision making is now the polls. The whole state apart from some indigenous reserves is now open, the north is in their tourist season so needed to open up given the lack of virus cases, lets hope that lack of cases continues and we will see pubs clubs and footy open up sooner rather than later.

Now I read cinemas will be opening up within the next fortnight, usually smallish indoor facilities sitting next to one another...and yet still nothing for outdoor football crowds capable of comfortably seating apart FMD!

Clubs have been badly exposed by their failure to have a message and get it out. It’s lack of effort not lack of opportunity. Every wafl club is connected to a parliamentarian - look at PFC and Ben Wyatt.

Absolutely spot on...As I posted before a big problem is Mcgowan hasnt got a friggen clue about WAFL, Barnett was a WA bloke through and through and ex WAFL player and he would of been in contact with Claremont all through this and got a plan going to get it up and running again ASAP.

Another 6 new cases detected today from the crew of a livestock ship from UAE currently docked at Fremantle Port, thats 10 in 2 days from that particular area.

Yes, very good example of why both our international and state borders must remain closed, but once again locally we are safe.

My understanding is that NO crew members have been allowed to leave ship on arrival at the warf for months

I watched the four corners show on ABC last night about the cruise ship passengers being allowed to disembark in Sydney despite large numbers of crew and passengers reporting sick. What a massive stuff up that was and McGowan is quite justified to ignore any advice that the NSW Government is dishing out about relaxing restrictions and opening borders. I am getting the feeling that there are many out there including politicians who are thinking this virus is under control but as we have seen over the past few days it is still very much a threat and we need to be very cautious or another total lockdown is possible

yep watched that , and absolutely, no open state borders, NSW can get stuffed.

Palmers taking it to he HCA, Im quite sure he will lose.

I actually think he's got a case now that federal medicos are saying the borders should be open.

Palmer is a complete knob jockey but there's a precedent where Twiggy and Stokes were allowed to fly back into WA in their private jets without going into quarantine which is what Palmer wants to do, only difference is that he's not a local ... thank Christ!!

Just seen Sneakers press conference. It takes all 48 crew to run the live sheep export ship.There's already 6 down to 42.This looks like the German Cruise ship all over again
