Thank god you are not the Chief Medical Officer for WA.

A few people are revelling in the glory and that was fine a month ago but now it’s time to open everything back up to what it was pre Covid-19.

Even in a 2nd world country like where I live, which is heavily dependent on international tourism, no-one with any credibility is sprouting such nonsense.

Here we go another Einstein comparing apples with banana’s. Better stick with your second world economy Jacksplat, it’s obviously been a long time since you’ve been home.

Just in case you overlooked some minor differences I’ll just remind you. Australia has a population of around 25 million v Thailand nearly 70 million and Australia has approximately 1400% greater land mass than Thailand. ? v ?

There are only two rules and they are pretty simple:

1. The rules today will be different than yesterday.
Try and be more fluid in your outlooks.
Your positive actions are helping in breaking the infection chain.

2. Trust no-one.
Don’t think other people are going to do the right thing by you.
Like STD’s the transmission may not be from the other person but it could be from the people they come in contact with.
The only thing you can trust is your own personal hygiene.

the economy comes first when it comes to public transport and shopping centres but not watching wafl in the fresh air

I am an Aussie Rules die hard and have attended the WAFL for over 55 years yet it bewilders me that with everything else that is going on that some think a priority should be for the restart of football, all codes and with crowds.
Get a grip people, without the measures taken by our elected representatives we could be like Italy, Brazil, UK and the USA.
How many lives would you sacrifice for a football match.
We always have the percentage of people that think rules are put in place for everyone else. Take a Bex, lie down and wait for the people that know best to complete the plan that has so far saved us from missery,

Fair dinkum mate I think you are off track.

We all accepted the restrictions and cancellation of sport months ago as an important step to control and flatten the curve.

And that's what was sold to us the whole time, to control the virus so to help the health system, and we did that in spades, all parties did a good job and for weeks now it has been obvious there is no community transmission in WA.

To compare us to Italy and the US is ridiculous we have never come close to those numbers and community transmission never took hold because we got an early start on it.

We have now more that achieved flattening the curve.

There is zero point in maintaining local restrictions at the current level, and no reason why 1500 people could not go along to a large suburban ground watch a game and have a few beers.

As said before at Garden City or Claremont Quarter there are 1000s of people all packed in together, and there hasn't been a single case of anyone picking up the virus, its not going to happen standing outdoors at Fremantle Oval.

Bazza, But that is just it.
On a day when it starts to piss down they will all clamber together under the nearest shelter.
Anyway my opinion doesn't matter. I don't make the rules, but I am quite happy to follow the ones put in place by people that know far better than me.
Its only my opinion.
Opinions are like clitoris' every c..ts got one.

I have some breaking news - its rained all week, people have been huddling together in bus shelters, train stations, outside shops and workplaces in the city.
but we know you are not able to catch the virus at the moment in those situations, its only at outside sporting events.

And all those workers are being checked when they enter their buildings.
Are you going to stand at the front gate gate of the oval with a thermometer and check the patrons as they enter.

TRSM, thats exactly what should be done by each club at their home games at ground entrances, like has been done in many other places! Why not, if it means we get to go to the footy earlier.

bearing in mind you are wanting to start the comp in the middle of winter, I can't see the public queueing 1.5m apart in the pouring rain waiting to be told it they are well enough to come in.
