That is a very good question MO. I'm still working from home as we're moving into new offices and they wont be ready until July but on a normal working day I'm catching 4 buses and 2 trains in total to get from North Coogee to the city and back again and I'm not overly keen on no social distancing on public transport I can tell you.

But the States CMO says it is, and its States rights based issue and given the Virus is still live and can be easily imported across borders as we have seen with the Ship the states have every right to protect their local health resources. It well and truly passes the legitimate reason test.

There's a strong public policy issue here as well because if the HCA rules in Palmers favour it could close down all the States Agricultural Border controls.

Yep, took the big aim at the Feds, knowing halfa story or was it the full one and all bluff?

Turns out WA Health didnt act on the advice.

Apart from that FPA followed all the correct protocls, Pilot and Crew in PPE , crew never left ship etc, so its a storm in a T cup and Sneakers polical point scoring is pretty pathetic.

A cop mate of mine just sent me a text , hes on a 9 hour guard duty for the ship down the warf.

poor form from federal and state on this issue.

believe me EMAIL is always better, you have a record of it, phone calls are used when people dont want to be held to account and suddenly turn around and say that was never said.

nothing to stop people from sending an email and following up with a phone call but that idea is probably old fashioned as well.
