Most people thought he did a good job at the height of the covid crisis, but that is now very rapidly burning up and people relise how ridiculous and pointless maintaining the current restrictions locally.

The first week of opening up was a fizzer, not a single pub in my area bothered to open, cant blame them tbh.

These ridiculous 20 people limits cants be sustained with any credibility much longer, McGowan wants another 3 weeks of them and then another wave of 4 week etc ...that would be political suicide.

There are 2 cases left the in State , fair dinkum this just cannot be justified.

My tip is he has to bring things forward as he will be a laughing stock.

Sure keep some things in place, but lets get back to fully normal locally. lets get our WAFL and crowds back.

I couldn't agree more Baz. It's almost as though he's basking in the positivity he received during the early days and doesn't want it to end. He can't have it both ways by telling people to return to work on public transport but keeping everything else closed down or severely restricted by limiting numbers. Keep the borders closed sure...but open up internally including footy as you say.

Totally agree two major shopping centres I went to yesterday were packed. I’m totally sick to death of it all especially the maze I have to navigate to get to the queue outside Bunnings and Woolies maze. Keep the Mexicans out from NSW, Qld and Victoria who are still having outbreaks but we can open borders to SA and NT.

4 new cases today and Roger Cook says the virus is still active. The 4 new cases are from one family from Victoria who returned from Doha on the 15th of May and are quarantined in a hotel. I can't see how that classified as saying the virus is still active. Not in our backyard it isn't Roger.

What the point of driving 500 Km for a local holiday when you get there half the joints are closed or packed with a line trying to get in with a 20 people patron limit,,,FMD!

Each to their own opinion but I reckon that the process he is undertaking is a measured one. SA have relaxed their requirements for pubs etc, I think they are abt 4 or 5 days ahead of us in the process and as long as we track along the same pace we will see more relaxations by the w/end.

If there is 4 new cases today, that makes 9 or so for this month. Apparently all mild cases as I 'm sure there are currently no hospital admissions or icu's
Keeping the state border closed is a good idea.

There seems to be a lot of mixed messaging recently. People can crowd into dangerous enclosed shopping centres and touch any hard surfaces, and yet one can't have a quite beer at the pub.

Why the f...k are people from Victoria flying to Perth? Surely we aren't the only destination in Australia Qatar Airways are flying to or are we? It's not fair on us and our health care system and workers who are at risk, not to mention workers who have to transport them around and those who work in the hotel they are spending their quarantine period in. We have already had at least one worker in these hotels contract the virus from the hotel he is working at.
