Astro you are dead set right and I do not know the truth abt this part of the saga, what I do know is that the other colts players had been signed and i have my opinion and suspicions and these again lay at the feet of others.

Only The relative football depts and the mgr (in very lower case) know what happened there!

It is not standard practice in the WAFL to contract graduating colts players immediately. Resources are limited as we all know, but this unprecedented act of treachery by Keitel and WP has changed the landscape. The vote from the football managers was 7 2 against this transfer. 7 1 really because Perth abstained because they where talking to the Keitel camp too.

Reading between the lines from a neutral observer looking in it doesn't seem deep down this fella Keitel was that highly thought of at EP and that this has become more an issue of gamesmanship at a corporate level rather than the horror of losing a quality player to the arch enemy.

Treachery LB. This is coming from a supporter of what club? Pot kettle black!

LB EP now have more resources than any other club due to the alignment so that is no excuse Coincidently i suspect the alignment is the reason he wanted out.

Astro would it be fair to say that based on your comment above that he left the club formerly known as East Perth because he thought there would be limited opportunities to play leaque footy due to the large number of Eagles' players taking places in the league team?

Yet Fremantle have a shed load of players playing for Peel but ex AFL players seem to be attracted to move to Peel believing they are more likely to be noticed there. I suppose the difference being the the quality and experience of existing EP players compared to Peel players.

Bit more to it i reckon but opportunities will be a part of it.

Larry, if that vote count was correct, why then would the Arbitrator decide against the vote of 7 of the WAFL Clubs?

In doing so, he did in effect say all seven were wrong.
