Larry Bird wrote: Grump will disagree with me but his short comings are mainly above the shoulders. His on field potential is very high, he might turn into a WAFL star in a few years or an AFL role player. Speaking to an official of the club he said we would be negligent not to try to keep the best junior forward to come through our club for twenty years.

Ok LB if he is the best forward in the past 20 years who was the last.

I would suggest he is no better that Rugierio, White, Brookes or Caporn all of whom had their days and had their off days but at the end of the day in Colts where not upto the task of the next level.

As for the issues with his head they are minicscule when compared to the ones with the folk telling him he is so good.

Rugierio great hands but to slow, Brooke's good work rate but to small and slow. Caporn to small but lots of upside I hope as a third tall. Tom Howlett was very exciting to watch. You would have to go back to Ian Perrie to find a genuine forward drafted from EP although Spanderman started forward I guess. Maybe Glen Bartlett before that but that's 30 odd years.

It was disappointing to watch a boy eager to finally play some football on Saturday after he told he was able to play, be denied a clearance at the 11th hour. You couldn't help but feel sorry for him as he was close to the end of this embarrassing saga. I am no West Perth or East Perth fan, I love football.
Not letting a person who is willing to play football is embarrassing, for a player should be able to play wherever they want. In the end a 19 year old was denied a chance to play football and that's what it comes to, I don't care if they are a superstar or a first gamer, everybody should have the right to play the game.
East Perth and the Football Commission should be embarrassed.
Reading in today's paper it appears it should be resolved this week.

Mysterious that you would be interested then. Are players normally allowed to play before a transfer amount is set and paid.

Usually no transfer fee is involved in letting somebody play Amateur Football.

Which ever EP official you are , just f8cken get the transfer fee sorted and put an end to it. It is now clear why he wanted to move on, to be associated with you muppets would be uninspiring !!!

For me its a matter of just seeing what the young Keitel has to offer now...

All the hooplah & huff n Puff has finished ... transfer done an dusted except for the 30 pieces of silver

Its now time to see what the player has to state on the field - We all know he will still have his entire match time, when he finally gets it, dissected and rummaged through like a Salvation Army clothing bin.

Welcome to the world of footy young man ........

any WAFL player can go and player ammos if they get a permit approved by their WAFL club, this would have required East Perth to approve the permit as he wasnt yet cleared to WP.
EP obviously chose not to approve it for whatever reason and can onyl speak for themselves why they wouldnt let a player go and run around in the ammos

Why should EP be embarrased they stood uop for what they considered right, WP and the boy did the same. it was the WAFC process that is flawed and was recognised by the arbiter.
