I do hope its not him.
If it is i'd give him a 1 year term with a club option for a second.
I dont rate him at all as a coach!

I wonder if any approaches were made to the likes of Ayres and Andy Collins in the VFL?

Spalding will be OK, lets face it there is not much out there for WAFL clubs these days.

What are you basing that on?
The fact that hes played WAFL and AFL?
Hes only had 2 seasons coaching East Freo with limited success, one 4th and an 8th.

How many WAFL gigs at other clubs would he have got if there were vacancies??
Lets say he goes for a South job throw in a West Perth and a Swans would he in 2015 get any of those senior jobs at those clubs if he applied??
He'd be lucky to get on there shortlists imo.

The WAFL is still a second tier comp and would still attract some good coaches i think our record has cost us.

We wait with baited breath. If they appoint someone who is clearly not their first choice and relatively unproven then that needs to be made clear he gets 2 years and NO MORE to prove himself worthy of any further contract extensions.

Think you might find another WAAFL coach in the mix.

Luke Dwyer the Coach at University has taken them to 4 Grand Finals in a row and should notch up his 3rd Flag on Saturday.

If you want to be impressed by his game plan drop in at Lathlain on Saturday.

Forget the second tier stuff mate, those days are gone, the alignment has seen to that.

If there is no one out there then I wouldn't mind seeing if Steven Armstrong was still interested. Played AFL, WAFL and has been coaching for the last couple of years in the colts system.

Eyes always averted when you speak to him. Too shy or something I think.
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

Yep it's Dennis Cometti, straight out of the Channel 7 commentary box to take up the Coaching gig. There is no other reasonable explanation for him leaving!!!!

I've heard that much bullshit none of which has come to fruition. I just wish we would hear something concrete. Sick of the bullshit that this bloke and that bloke are interested in the job. I'd take Humpty Dumpty right now just announce it. Hang on.......... we've had Humpty Dumpty and he was no good.
