As a project for a website, I watched every colts game in 2022 and I was impressed with many of the Perth players.

Unfortunately, a lot are PSA by being either country or from the wealthier areas like Karawara, Salter Point, Victoria Park, Como, Manning, Waterford or South Perth, so are rarely available as PSA football takes precedence over colts for unknown reasons.

Apart from Baxter Phillip and Connor McDonald, I'd also be keeping an eye on Jack Poole who is a real competitor in the backline and he has a bit of flair to go with it.

I also really enjoyed watching Oscar Hine-Baston, a highly skilled Indigenous small rebounding defender. Daniel Hill, who is another talented Indigenous small who can play forward or back. Cameron Hall - a reliable tall lockdown defender and also Oliver Zolnier-Owens who gives effort and accumulates possessions.

The next years bunch is good as well but once again most will be playing PSA but keep an eye out for Aiden O'Driscoll, Quayden Roe, Coen Livingstone, Mitch Keene, Elijah Scoble and Eden Gomersall.
Had to laugh when Karawarra was mentioned as a wealthy area.I remember as a postie relief delivering Karawarra in the 80s and 90s which had state housing flats and delivering pension cheques.I think it has gentrified since then with the some of the high rise knocked down and some houses sold off but would put it on a par with Bentley/East Vic Park as a working class suburb.
Waterford estate is probably the glam part of Karawarra or is that a suburb in it’s own right? Full of Asians and Indians. Bentley and Karawarra are basically overrun with overseas students going to Curtin uni.
Waterford is indeed a suburb, everything on the other side of manning road opposite Karawarra towards the river is Waterford up to the trinity playing fields. What confuses people is that the Waterford Plaza is actually in Karawarra and isn't the only shopping centre not in the suburb it claims to be in.

PSA gets precedent as it is a part of going to school at one of those 7 schools is that you represent the school in a sport all year round and its a non-negotiable. Students get detention for not showing up. They play sports Friday evenings and on Saturday mornings which just happens to be at the same time as colts football. Students can get released only for league football (not all will do this) or state representation (they all release for this).

I'd love to see Hale or Scotch play the colts grand final winner .... be interesting to see who wins as many have their thoughts on what is better. Aquinas with something stupid like 12 state players about 4 years ago would have been a handy team. Lost the Alcock cup after having to send them all for 2-3 weeks to state camps and played the other top schools those weeks unfortunately for them.

It is not about which competition is better, its part of their education and no school will ever change that as representing their school and the prestigious cups that go with all of the sports mean more to them than playing colts football. The families are paying $25K+ (non-boarders) to go to these schools and sport is a part of that agreement.

Cess I am not sure that EF would be in a position to recruit Manzone.
WP have also announced that he is continuing at PFC.
Obviously still finalising the details.
It was said at the AGM there are WAFL protocols around anouncing players.

Manzone wouldn’t get a game at EF- they’re loaded with Mids. Must be some reason for hold up- he’ll be good for Perth

The hold-ups are to ensure all WAFL protocols are met. Apparently the club was fined last season for non compliance.
Confirmation can't be far away. It was said at the AGM that an announcement might be only days away.

Half your midfield are Perth players.
Can't you develop your own players?

Manzone's arrival at Perth is the biggest player transfer build up since Bomber Peake arriving at Geelong in the early 80's. New prez Barra might have to ask Kerry if he can borrow his personal chopper to fly Manzone into Lathlain at the first training session after new year. There'll be a thousand strong crowd in attendance. No pressure Trent.

Manzone does not appear on P, WP or WAFL as a Perth player.
Thompson does not appear on P or WAFL but has been announced by Perth. (Strange)
Ewing is on P and WAFL
Jackson on P & WAFL
Jye Lane on P & WAFL
Cody Howard on P & WAFL
Sparks Bros. on P not WAFL
Lochlan Paton on P & WAFL

We don’t have any Perth players in our midfield- they may have been for you but not for us

Jansen
Murdock
Baskerville
Joyce
H.Marsh
J.Marsh
Lester-Smith
Bennett
Smith

All EF local Mids thanks.

Though Narkle or Stack would look good in Blue and White
