As for the other Sam.....I guess running out the MRP exit constitutes as being seen to be running laps at a PFC training session

After such a disastrous season I always thought we would lose quite a few, like we always do. However this time we seem to have lost about half of last season’s league regulars. WCE will be a lot stronger next year so there goes our chance of avoiding the spoon.

That’s a real shame.  His family are powerlifters and it was said at the start of this season that HQ dropped 7-8kg’s. Showed some really good signs this year and with another preseason and him working on the aerobic side of his game I was looking forward to see what progress he would make in 2023. 

And if Stubbs does get picked up by Fremantle, then our forward line is seriously lacking, if it wasn’t already. 

I can’t remember a bigger exodus of players in one season. On my counts, that’s 12 confirmed outs, with Jones, Quill and Stubbs possible. It used to be a contest between us and Peel for the spoon, now it’s us and WCER. 

Yes, the outs exceed the ins and of those ins only two can be considered to be proven at this level IMO.
The others sound promising but have yet to show their value to the team. 
I consider that we have bolstered the midfield with Manzone and Thompson. Another would be handy. Perkusich would possibly have fitted into the midfield but he has gone. All the more essential that we do all within our power to get at least one of Garlett and Stack. Preferably both.
The defence has suffered two bad losses in Nicholas and Hill plus Gibba. If Sinclair does not play we will have a problem down back. We will need to replace them including with a tall key defender.
The loss of Quartermaine and, possibly Stubbs, is unfortunate. We have no tall target that we are desperate for. I worry where the goals are going to come from.
DBW should improve further but will need assistance of a tall ruckman no shorter than 198cm. There was one suggested as coming but no news on that.
AGM on Tuesday night...hopefully all will be revealed but I am sensing that we may be light on with depth in the squad in 2023.

I suspect there’s no cavalry coming to save us. The tall backman and tall fwd were most likely Michael Hartley and Kaelan Bradtke and they aren’t coming. 

Assume you are referring to Quinton Narkle Smokey. Where do you think his manager Anthony Van Der Wielen will steer him if he doesn't get to a second AFL club?
