Well this statement finally makes sense! Nice one DD   Cooper and Harley Sparks from EP have just appeared on our extended list (along with Stack and Narkle). Both have had some league experience. Does anyone know much about them?

Good to see Narkle and Stack on our list. There must be a chance of one or both playing subject to AFL drafts etc. 
The Sparks boys both listed as 21 - twins I guess. Their league stats very modest but both appear to have good stats at ressies level.

Sons of Russell Sparks I believe Satan. I think Harley has chalked up 22 league games and Cooper just a few. Good pedigree.

Lochlan Paton from WP also appears on our list. Looks to be strictly a reserves player, as does Cooper Sparks. Harley looks like he might be ok. I can't say I'm thrilled at our recruiting, though it will look a lot better if Stack and/or Narkle play. But the only guys that you would say are likely to be definite league players are Manzone (aged 32 next year), Thompson and H Sparks. The three from O & M are an unknown quantity, but it's a lower league than WAFL. C Sparks, Ewing, Jackson and Paton seem likely to be fringe players. We missed out on landing any big targets, like Waterman, Crowden, Maibaum or Turner. 

I think we need to accept that 2023 has to be a year to rebuild and take stock. Get the players fit (we say every pre-season that are the fittest they've ever been), get whatever game plan German has implemented, hope to see fringe players improve, and have the coaching staff assess the sort of players we need to target in 2024.

Perko not returning and we can add Zach Hill and Harry Quartermaine to that list. Heard some positive news about Sinclair returning after Xmas. 

Now this sounds a bit far fetched but was told we had 4 lined up from Victoria but all got picked up in the rookie draft.

What’s happened with Quartermaine?
